(intel dh61crbr) x (MARKVISION, 2GB, DDR3-1333MHz-CL9///BMD3204BM1333C9-1324) Dual Channel ddr3.

Quem de vocês poderia me ajudar nessa enrascada?

samucass.

Failed BIOS update and problem with BIOS recover on Intel DH77KZ and Intel DZ77GA-70K

Hello,

I've technically bricked two Intel mobo's DH77KZ and DZ77GA-70K trying to run the BIOS update Executed files from Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and Windows 7 Pro 64bit respectively.

After running the executable version of the BIOS update package, the system would boot continually, beep, and reboot.

My attempts to resolve the issue on the DH77KZ failed using the provide online instructions from the Intel product support site, and after buying a new mobo (DZ77GA-70K) and hitting the same snag when updating the BIOS,

On the DZ77GA-70K the POST status display did indicate I was in recovery mode (31), but nothing was happening and my video was not displaying anything from the two monitors attached to the installed PNY NVidia Quadro 420, all of which worked before I executed the BIOS update file.  I attempted the USB thumb drive method as well as the CD-ROM method, but nothing worked, and the same status and lack of activity or display was frustrating.

I was starting to think it's me, since again the recovery approach shown by the support web site didn't work...

UNTIL....

I realize that documenting a process that comes with the "should be executed by a trained technician" may not be complete; however, ALL of the documentation relating to the BIOS recovery process is missing a key set of instructions!  The name of the *.BIO file must be "bios.bio", not the original BIOS file name like "GA0066.BIO", only after I corrected the file name and put the USB stick (reformatted to FAT32 and then copying the bios.bio file to it), into a board connected (back panel) USB 2 port (same as USB keyboard, so not the high current one), did the BIOS recovery process succeed.

Notably I tried using the following sources, which missed the detail about the file name:

Desktop Boards — Instructions for Recovery BIOS Update

BIOS download file readme.pdf https://downloadmirror.intel.com/22828/eng/BIOS%20Update%20Readme.pdf

BIOS Update Instructions page: Desktop Boards — BIOS Update Instructions

and the referenced BIOS Recovery instructions:  http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/recoverybiosupdateinstructions.pdf

Given the missing information, I've decided to provide the following update to the instructions:

So the process with USB thumb drive should be documented as:

Recovery with Bootable USB Thumb Drive

Use this method if the recovery file (*.BIO) is too large to fit on a floppy disk or if the desktop board does not include floppy drive support.

  1. Copy the recovery file (*.bio) to a bootable USB thumb drive.
  2. Rename the bios file (e.g. GA0066.BIO) to “bios.bio”  <<<--- is is missing in the instructions!!!!!
  3. Place the thumb drive in a USB port of the target system.

[IMHO - some added guidance]

NOTE:  Utilize an on-board USB 2.0 port, ideally the a back panel standard USB 2.0 port for best results in finding the USB thumb drive with the “bios.bio” file

NOTE:  Connect a monitor to the on-board video display port, if that is not being used, to ensure you have visibility of all video output, since it appears that some video cards don't display the recovery bios information

  1. Shut down the system and unplug AC power.
  2. Open the chassis and remove the BIOS Configuration Jumper. See the Technical Product Specification for details including the location of this jumper.
  3. Power the system on.
  4. Wait 2-5 minutes for the update to complete.
  5. System will either turn off when the recovery process is completed or it will prompt you to turn off the system.
  6. Remove the thumb drive from the USB port.
  7. Replace the BIOS Configuration Jumper.
  8. Restart system.

For CD-ROM it should be:

Recovery with CD-ROM

Use this method if the recovery file (*.BIO) is too large to fit on a floppy disk or if the desktop board does not include floppy drive support.

  1. Copy the recovery file (*.bio) to a CD.
  2. Rename the bios file (e.g. GA0066.BIO) to “bios.bio” before burning the CD-ROM  <<<--- is is missing in the instructions!!!!!
  3. Place the CD in the CD-ROM drive of the target system.
  4. Shut down the system and unplug AC power.
  5. Open the chassis and remove the BIOS Configuration Jumper. See the Technical Product Specification for details including the location of this jumper.
  6. Power the system on.
  7. Wait 2-5 minutes for the update to complete.
  8. System will either turn off when the recovery process is completed or it will prompt you to turn off the system.
  9. Replace the BIOS Configuration Jumper.
  10. Restart system.

I'm skipping the FLOPPY options since the BIOS files in questions are > 1.4MB and can't fit on that media.  [Yes, I still have floppy drives and even blank disks... lol]

If there is a contact e-mail for providing documentation feedback, like what Check Point Software Technologies provides in current documentation releases, I would appreciate it.  Alternatively I could create a "document" post and see if that can help the community.

I will need to find a LGA1155 processor to try this process on the still broken Intel DH77KZ, since impatience [and urgency] won over experimentation and diligence.

The Intel DZ77GA-70K based system is now back at full operational status with the 0066 BIOS update and working fine.

DZ77BH-55K code 51 "Allocation of Resources to PCI" with adding new Video Card.

Hello.

I just replaced a working PCIe x16 card with a new Sapphire R9 380 4GB x16 Video Card into the x16 slot at can't get past a BIOS code 51.

Sterilized everything and re-installed 3x in both x16 slots. Repeat BIOS stoppage at code 51 everytime.

Plenty clean. Plenty of power. Everything physical looks perfect. Can't see any wrong choices in the BIOS vF2.

Reinstalled old 1GB video card >> boots perfectly.

Any ideas what may be causing the board to throw a 51 code with installation of a new video card?

Thanks for access to your expertise.

I am unable to install the latest Intel drivers

Hi,

I recently formatted by computer. I have installed the drivers through the Intel Drivers CD which is given with the motherboard. Now, i want to install the latest version of all the available drivers. So, I downloaded the Intel Driver Update Utility & it downloaded all the available updates. But only 1 of them got installed (it was related to Ethernet), rest all of them failed. Then i tried installing them manually & they are giving me an error "the computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements for installing the software". How is it even possible? I can't install the drivers of my motherboard?
So help regarding this problem will really appreciable.

PS- I am uploading the screenshot of my PC configuration &Untitled.jpg the error facconfig.jpged

PB bios 0099 Carte mère DH61WW

Bonjour,

Cordialement,

jojojo9

DH61WW No display after BIOS update

Hello everyone,

I have an old desktop that i decided to upgrade so it could be put into good use.

I checked the specs and so on.

i5 and 4Gb ram 1TB hdd Windows 10

Then i decided to get an ASUS R7 240

When i plugged it in, no display was showing

So i assumed it must be the Motherboard. The motherboard is Intel desktop board DH61WW

The psu is a ccivo 500w (24A for the 12V rail)

Therefore i started updating the BIOS from 0016 to 0048 as it is showing in this link

Download BIOS Update [BEH6110H.86A]

However i faced a problem something related to the Intel ME needs to be updated from 7.x to 8.x

After researching it turned out alot of people were impatient and they updated the BIOS to 0099 and then the pc would not boot, afterwards they flashed the 109 and everything was fine.

So i did the same, updated to 0099, and now my pc would not display at all.

The problem is, to access the BIOS recovery, i need to remove the Jumper which is in 1-2 position (normal position) to access the recovery.

When i remove it, still nothing shows up on the display, and i cannot flash the 109 now

I need to fix it, could it be my monitor?! (Viewsonic VX-2270SMH)

i followed the steps from this forum also

DH61WW BIOS update problem ???

Flashing BIOS was way easier on my ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO, but this intel board with the jumper and so on, i dont know what to do

Would Appreciate your help

I read on this thread Re: PB bios 0099 Carte mère DH61WW that he can access the BIOs by pressing F2, should i try that even if nothing shows on screen while normal booting?!

Merry Christmas

Hallo zusammen,

gestellt.
