DH87MC Memory Speed 1600 MHz running at 1333 MHz

Problem with Intel dn2800mt and ad don PCIE1x Graphic Card(low power HD7450; HD6450; GF6200LE)

HI, i have problem with this setup. Screen is very slow, like old 8MHz pc:/ HD7450 is connected on riser card 1x to 16x, i'v tried connecting it on riser cable witch external power and result was identical. I'v also tried GF6200, and screen was slow too(~1s to display bios logo). This board does not support pcie graphic card?

System config:

Win7 64Bit, 2x4GB RAM(checked on 1x4GB dimm, same problem), 250GB HDD, 19.5V 6.1A power supply, 1xUSB keyboard/mouse, 1x USB2LCD, newest BIOS

I'v done some testing with lower power hd 6450.

With 8GB RAM and PCIE graphic  Windows 7 boots ~10m.

With 4GB or 1GB RAM and PCIE graphic Windows 7 boots normal but it is slowed down by processor. system is working realy slow and freezes some times. Drivers for GPU installs correctly but it still very slow on every thing.

When ad don PCIE1x Graphic Card is connected radiator is very, very hot. iv installed 120mm fan directly over cpu, but no change in performance.

When I'm selecting in BIOS that IGD must be always on, in windows when PCIE graphic card is in, there is only 1 video adapter.

DH77EB totally unstable

I have built quite a few PCs in my day and I have to say that the DH77EB is the most unstable motherboard I have come across.  I read early on that it is very fussy about memory.  So I ordered a matched pair of the modules that Crucial recommends for this board (they only recommend one).

Sometimes the system boots.   Sometimes not.  And once it fails, it won't even go through its bios start-up routine.  It simply does nothing.  I move the memory to different slots and sometimes I can get it to load bios.  Sometimes it will load Windows 8.  But if it does, it soon crashes.

I updated to the latest firmware for for use with Win8-64.  Still no luck.

The longest I have ever had this computer up and running is about an hour.  Most of the time, it fails within the first minute or two and will not re-boot without moving the memory modules.  At times, I even have to remove the memory entirely to at least get the beep code for no memory.  Most of the time, I don't even get that.  The green light on the board lights up but absolutely nothing happens when I try and power up.

The only thing that is connected to the motherboard is an SSD drive to hold the operating system.

I am totally frustrated with this motherboard.

Is this the worst motherboard design of all time?

Hello

I have a DX58SO motherboard with a i7 920 and some Kingston Hyper X memory.

XMP Works very  well on that setup.

Now my friends has given me an i7 960 cpu. I installed that on the board no problem there, but now i cant

run my computer with XMP on, if I do that it will not show anything on the screen.

If I take XMP off , it Works fine.

Any one know about this problem ?? Thanks for your time.

Intel XTU will not allow DXS9SI to Sleep

Hi,

I've had this problem over a year, reported about it here, and gleefully try every new version of XTU hoping that it incorporates a fix, but alas, 12 months later, there is still no resolution.

As long as XTU is installed, the DX79SI will transition to sleep, however the fans will keep spinning, and the machine turns into a zombie. The only way to wake it up is to kill mains power and let it cold boot.

I know for a fact other people are seeing this behaviour, and its easily reproduced. Install Windows, install drivers, install XTU. Wait for system to sleep. BAM! Fail!

What can I do? Besides whinge on this community page?!?

DZ77GA-70K Bios Bug

If i disable the secodary sata Controller on my DZ77GA-70K Board in BIOS booting is not possible anymore, neither from DVD, HDD or USB. And yes I Change the boot order!!! (Nothing is attached to that Controller, so I don't Need it). This happen since the last bios update to Ver. 0066.

The main reason I want to disable thatController is because, during shut down of Win8 the HDD spins down and the spins up again to spin down for final shutdown - This never happend with the last bios Version. So please fix that.

Another bug of the bios is about usb mouse and Keyboard: I use Mouse+Keyboard from logitech with wireless Receiver. These are not recognized by bios. They are only recognized by bios if a USB-wired mouse or Keyboard is attached - I hope that will be fixed also.

Thanx!!!

On the display:

RAID 10 ( 0+1)

It's confuse me. Now:

a) its RAID 1+0 (RAID 10) or

b) it's RAID 0+1 (RAID 01)

Thanks to reply.

how many pci express lanes does the haswell cpu have ? 16 or 20 ?

Hi,

I've been looking at the documentation of the  DZ87KLT-75K board. In the block diagram it looks as if the haswell has a 16x set of pci-e and another set of 4x pci-e lanes. this makes a total of 20 lanes. However i cannot find any documentation on this anywhere. The datasheet defines only 16 lanes.  Where did the other 4 lanes come from ?

The PCH has 8 lanes pci-e v2.0 and they are all in use.

The DH87MC has the same peculiarity.  I also checked boards from other vendors, no one has more than 16 pci-e v3 lanes coming off the processor.

Is this a documentation flaw or is there something special going on here ?

thanks,

Robert

DH61AG BIOS update disaster.

Folks,

I am...well, was, a very happy DH61AG user.  I've got three of them here, and had no problems at all.  Until this evening.

Decided I was going to upgrade one of the machines to Windows 8, so checked out the BIOS versions.  My board was running 0023.  I wanted to be running 104.

Things went as follows:

  • Tried to update to 0039.  I couldn't, I was told by the F7 BIOS flash that my existing BIOS was too old.
  • F7 upgrade to 0031, worked OK
  • F7 upgrade to 0039 failed
  • Booted in to Windows 7 (existing install of Pro x32 off mSATA SSD) and ran the Express Update within Windows to 0039
  • Rebooted OK, all OK so far
  • Express Update to 0099 - failed in Windows
  • F7 upgrade to 0099 - seemed successful
  • Rebooted, now machine won't boot off mSATA drive, reboots constantly at BIOS screen
  • Tried booting off USB stick, BIOS locks up solid
  • Trying to flash 0104 I get flash failure with "FwUpdateBufferFull" followed by 0x80000....00015 (I think, it doesn't stay on screen long)

So, now my machine won't boot, is stuck on a broken 0099, I obviously can't flash up to 0104, or flash down to something less broken.

Specs:

DH61AG

2x2GB Micron PC3-10600S-9-11-B1 DIMMs

Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030 wifi card (tried removing this, no change)

Crucial M4 64GB mSATA SSD

Celeron G530

DVI monitor

Dell 90W PSU

Any suggestions?

Where can I find HD graphics driver for Pentium G3220 CPU?

Hi all, I've bought new computer with Intel DB85FL MB and Pentium G3220 CPU (this MB is in CPU's supported MB list). I can't install graphics driver. I've tried all graphics drivers in Intel download center, also tried "automatically find drivers and software" section with no luck  - this section using internet explorer crashes IE down, with firefox "searches" drivers more than hour (I've notices that this section always NOT WORKING if the are no graphics driver installed). Utility in CD that came with motherboard simply failed, windows driver update wizard didn't find any compatible drivers in CD or drivers in zip files that I've downloaded from Intel. Any ideas?

Is there a chance Intel to release Linux driver for GMA3600 graphic card to use it with some newer Kernel and on 64bit platform? I found only 32bit driver for kernel version 3.1.

Thanks for answer.

DB75EN Fan Alarm won't shut off.

I have a DB75EN installed with 4G of DDR3 and a SandyBridge i3 Processor installed using Windows XP 32bit and the latest BIOS installed. While leaving it on overnight, an alarm blares from the MB and I discovered if I use Desktop Utilities I can reset the Fan Sensor to shut off the alarm. Is there

a BIOS setting I might have missed disabling to shut that alarm off?

Intel RST RAID 5 on DX58SO Dual Boot - Win 7 Pro x64 & Win XP Pro x64

$

Hi, I'm considering a clean install of Win 7 Pro x64 and Win XP Pro x64 in dual boot mode on a DX58SO with i7-930, 6GB RAM and three Seagate 500GB SATA drives in Intel RST RAID5.

I'm presently running Win 7 Pro x64 on that hardware in RAID5 with Intel RST 12.8.0.1016.  It doesn't appear that RST 12.8 supports Win XP Pro x64.

The Intel Download Center indicates RST 10.1.0.1008 for the DX58SO which applies to both Win 7 x64 & Win XP x64.

I have been unable to install RST 10.1 on a DX58SO with a clean install of Win 7 (with and without Win 7 updates). The only versions of RST that will load and function on my Win 7 system are RST 12.5 and RST 12.8.

If I install RST 12.8 on the Win 7 side of the dual boot machine, will I have issues if I install RST 10.1 on the Win XP side. Will the RAID5 Volume have issues when it boots Win 7 RST 12.8, then shuts down and boots Win XP 10.1? Can I install RST 12.8 on the Win XP side of the dual boot?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Regards

DH87RL beeps twice after change from legacy to uefi

$

Hello there,

did have a lousy weekend due to a failure of this board Bios 3,17

got this board just yesterday and installed a GTS 450 Graphics, i5-4570, 8gb kingston valueram and some other components.

Everything worked until I made some BIOS settings changes (from legacy boot back to uefi boot, perhaps i deactivated internal graphics in advance)

after softreset, screen blanked and beeped twice two times. no chance to get in bios, no chance by reseating card, not even without card and internal graphics only.

So I tried to reset bios, but I think that is not working by putting out the battery.

So i tried this Bios Jumper to reset:

-> Screen didn't blank any more, short time to see the POST screen, but without ability to get in the bios.

Screen printed that I  [1] suppress this message [2] delete passwords [3] some information about TPM

So hopefully hard resetted after putting back the jumper

-> beep beep , screen blank

so what to do?

Screen blanks as soon as i put in the jumper again, without it i do not have a chance to alter bios settings...

Cooling assistant, CPU fan issue

$

Running a i4770 on a DH87RL board, with latest bios (320)

Using an PWM cooler from Noctua NH-12S (which received positive reviews from a number of magazines).

My problem: the mainboard doesn't seem to control the fan(s) properly.

When I use factory settings (setting "Quite(0) in cooling assistant) the CPU fan starts with about 300rpm and stays there. Case fase are running with 600-700 rpm.

When I put the CPU under stress, its temperature goes up to 80 C without the fans ever speeding up. Then the thermal throttle sets in.

With any different setting in cooling assistant (e.g. "Cooling Assistant(1)"), the fans start with full speed (1500rpm for CPU, >1000rpm for front and rear), even when the machine is idle (or is in the BIOS screen).

Now the CPU stays below 60C even under full load, but it's somewhat loud and I really would like to have proper thermal management.

RPM and temperature sensors seem to work correctly.

I noticed that the BIOS cooling assistant graphics seems inconsistent at times. If you adjust the temperature curves and switch to another tab and then back, the curves are not remembered correctly.

Is this a known BIOS issue?

I 'am trying to build a config based on:

Intel DH87RL

Intel Core i7-4770

4 x Kingston KVR1333D3N9/4G

+ connected : 1 Intel Pro NIC + 2 x Samsung 750 GB HDD + 1 x Samsung 256 GB SSD PM800

Memory is on the tested list : http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/db-dh87rl/sb/CS-034215.htm

When I only place 1 stick = ok

When I place 2 sticks = ok

with 3 of 4 continue reboot -> no output on screen, I do use the integrated graphics via hdmi.

Memory is working any combination of slots is the same max 2 sticks.

System was working before DH77EB with Core i7-3xxx and 4 x KVR1333D3N9

I did upgrade the bios to RLH8710H.86A.0320.2013.0606.1802

Any idea ?1333

DH61CR: LSI SAS 3081E-R (8x SATA card) in the PCI-e 16x not be detected

$

Hi,

I have build a new system with the Intel DH61CRB3 main board and an Intel Core I3, 2120T processor.

I tried to install a LSI SAS 3081E-R (PCIe 8x card) in the 16x PCI-e slot.

The LSI SAS 3081E-R is an: Eight-port internal 3Gb/s SATA and SAS PCIe HBA with Integrated RAID.

The problem:

The LSI SAS 3081E-R card is not recognise by the system?!

In the bios "Configuration", "PCI/PCIe Add-In Slot" the main board give that "Slot7 PCIe x16" is "Not populated".

I checked the card in another system to be sure that the card is not broken. In that system the card is working fine. The card is working without any problems.

What I have done to try to solve the problem:

I have checked the Bios setting.

But could not find anything wrong.

Maybe someone has an idea?

I have installed the latest Bios version: "BIOS Version 0028 - BEH6110H.86A.0028.2011.0715.1815"

This did not help.

I saw that in the firmware version 0023 there was something solved with a x1 TV tuner card in the x16 slot that was not be detected.

Is this a similar problem? But then with a x8 card?

I have upgraded the LSI SAS 3081E-R to the latest firmware version.

This did not help.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Or does someone know that there is a problem in with the DH61CR main board?

Any help is appreciated!

Hello everybody,    let's come to the problem i am facing.

I have Intel DH61WW Motherboard, i updated the BIOS to 0113 version & enabled UEFI Boot for Windows 8 x64.

now whenever i boot a new Intel LOGO Comes in boot process but the problem is that the Screen Resolution is only 640*480 while booting,

whereas when i boot using Legacy BIOS, it shows the correct resolution.

It's so weird when the boot logo shows in a corner rather than center position & that too in lower colors, please solve my problem. after chatting with support staff, i tried to downgrade BIOS to 099 & 110 version, but still same problem, even the BIOS is showing in corner whenever i use UEFI Boot.

and one more question, when the visual Bios will be available for Intel 6 series Boards?
