DX79SR Board Bluetooth adapter MS-3871 Windows 8.1

Since I've had this DX79SR Desktop Board I've never been able to get the bluetooth device that came with it to work. Even to the point where I've given up, but every once in a while I try getting it to work again thinking maybe it was an issue that was eventually fixed. I'm not sure if it's because of Windows 8.1 or what.

Here is some of my issues. When I click on the Bluetooth icon in the system tray and go to "Show Bluetooth Devices" it goes to "PC Settings". Why would it go to PC Settings, if it's supposed to go to "Show Bluetooth Devices"? So I go to PC Settings and click on Devices, I see Bluetooth. I click on Bluetooth and try to connect to my phone and it constantly tries to connect / pair. Yet when I try to to do anything it says connection failed. My phone connects fine to other bluetooth devices, just not my computer one. Is there any chance that others had this problem and that it has been addressed?

Here are some things I've already tried. I tried installing this driver: Bluetooth: Motorola* Bluetooth 2.1+EDR USB Device (Bluetooth_allOS_3.0.2.285_PV_MSI.exe)  While using this, I'd click the Bluetooth shortcut or click on Open My Bluetooth icon in the system tray and it would go straight to My Documents. Is it supposed to do that? I thought it was supposed to go to some kind of Manage Bluetooth area. Although it temporarily worked right after I installed it, but stops working everytime I reboot my computer. So I ended up uninstalling it and tried going back to the Generic Bluetooth Adapter, which doesn't work either.

So basically neither the Generic Bluetooth Adapter drivers or the drivers that this site has worked with my computer. Should I just give up on it again and consider it a lost cause? Maybe look for a new Bluetooth device that is compatible? One thing I keep thinking is that maybe this adapter is too out of date and I just need to give up and move on. Seems like I've tried everything, so this is one last resort before I just toss it and see if a new adapter would suit me better.

Marvell 61xx and win8

I upgraded one of 3 identical intel mombos each with marvel 88se61xx chipset to win8.1 and the system will not boot into windows with any drive attached to the marvel blue or any array or even a single drive to the marvel red SATA connector.  Previously all 3 systems worked fine with stardom JBOD enclosures and the port multiplier capability of the marvel.  Driver for win7x64 is 1.2.0.7103 and that one is used and recognized by win8 as the "best" driver.  The Microsoft IT forum has a post about a 1.2.0.8xxx but there were complaints it didn't work with win7 so it seems to have been withdrawn by Microsoft.

If anyone knows where that 8xxx driver is I can try it else I will revert back to win7x64

Do want to point out that the 7103 driver from the d975xbx2 driver collection works fine with port multipliers and passes S.M.A.R.T data into windows 7x64.  Maybe some intern can look into the problem with win8 not booting with any drive attached.

DX79SR and i7 3930K can't run 2133 MHz. Waste of money?

So many problems. Where do I start. How about intel's update utility. Personally it's garbage software. It fails to install Chipset, Bluetooth, Network, RAID and Ethernet drivers. Had to manually look them up and install. All worked except for the Chipset. Failed to install about 5 times already. Right click and unblock, set to run as Administrator and still fails to install. Have 16 GB of Ripjaws 2133 MHz, yet it runs them at a sluggish 1600 MHz. There's plenty of videos on you tube where ASUS and MSI run them stable at 2133. I built an new system for a friend with an AMD 8320 and that felt faster than my overpriced setup. Anything over 1600 MHz and it just crashes. There's plenty of watts and voltage. So that's not the issue. Just a weak motherboard. Not one bit satisfied!

DZ87KLT-75K PESIMA ACTUALIZACION DE BIOS, POSIBLE SOLUCION?

$

Saludos

Disable S5 deep sleep for WoL on D525MW

Hello! I've got a D525MW (AAE93082-401) with the latest BIOS installed.

I've tried enabling the "Wake on LAN on S5 state" feature from the BIOS menu, but I'm not able to let the computer wake on magic packet sent. I think the problem is that when I shutdown the computer, it goes to S5 state on deep sleep mode, because the ethernet card shuts down, too.

I've setup the OS to enable this feature (via ethtool, the WoL enabled and set to "g").

Is there anything I've missed? I see no option at all about deep sleep on my BIOS.

Thanks

New Graphics card, PC won´t boot

So, happy as can be, I just replaced my old EVGA GeForce GT 220 with a gorgeous EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW.

I hook it up, install the drivers and I'm asked to restart it, so I do it. As it came back up, well, it didn't, it's stuck on the bios load screen, where you're asked to press F# for settings, update, boot menu, that stuff. It just beeps a couple times, a minute in between, then screen goes black and I get the old DOS "_" cursor alone, top left corner. From there on, dead.

If I take out the card and use the default from the motherboard, it runs like a charm. I uninstalled all the nVidia drivers and controllers, in hopes that'll let me start over, but no luck so far. The BIOS needed some heavy updating. Luckily there´s your update tool so it's just click and wait. However, all updates ran and installed and no joy still.

Here's what I've tried with the card: Put the old card back in (EVGA GeForce GT 220), and download the 347.09 driver from NVidia.com/drivers , but did not install any yet. Removed all installed nVidia drivers, through control panel. Shut down, and install the 750ti card, without installing any drivers yet. Turn back on, same deal, no joy.

I noticed the updater for the BIOS said everything was done, but the chipset update still shows an older version. I re-ran that part of the update twice, and it said successful, but still shows the old version. This one is out of my league I'm afraid. Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the asssist in advance!

Hello,

the process igfxsrvc.exe is apparently part of the Intel Common User Interface and in use/started when I perform a right click on the desktop which causes an annoying delay of about 2 seconds while opening the context menu.

What is that process for?

Can I disable it or is there another way to avoid the delay?

Hi

I have a D845GRG and want to upgrade the ram. I found out that the motherboard supports up to 2gb ddr 266mhz but before i buy the 2gb (2x1gb) ram, i just want to double check if both slots support 1gb in them. I don't really want to buy them and if out that both slots don't support 1gb. At the moment it only has 768mb (1x512mb and 1x256mb). Can someone please tell if the slots can accept 1gb in each?

VMware ESXi 5.5 hangs on ACPI initialization on DQ67OW

Hi,

I'm using a DQ670W motherboard as a VMWare ESXi whitebox for my personal use. It works great with ESXi up to 5.1U1.

ESXi 5.5 has been released but it hangs on ACPI initialization on startup or install. Searching on google, other brands of motherboards are facing the same problem, they released a new BIOS update to make ESXi 5.5 work even if their motherboard are not officially supported by VMware.
Is Intel aware of this problem ? Will a BIOS update be released ?

I can provide technical information for investigation.

Hello. I have a question of compatibility between the MB and Memory. Do the MB need to support memory type ECC RDIMM or is it the job of the memory controller in the CPU (xeon)?

Will this bundle work:

1) (motherboards on the b65, h67, b75, h77 and other desktop chipsets) + (xeon CPU)

or it must be

2) (motherboard on the C602..) + (xeon CPU)

X79SI and the dreaded "A bootable device has not been detected."

I had issues with UEFI booting a while back, but was able to resolve them, but now I'm in situation where a HDD failure has left me stuck in the "A bootable device has not been detected." restart loop, and I'm unable to get into any of the BIOS options.

I've tried using the back to bios button, I've placed the jumper on pins 2-3 and left it off, I've removed all storage devices.

All I want is a foolproof way to get back into BIOS or reset the BIOS, but nothing seems to be working.

There's a good chance that I've missed some small step, I'm now at the point where I've become a bit too frustrated...

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

When My DZ87KLT75K MB Boots, Intel Boot Agent Runs, and FAILS, How Do I Turn It Off?

$

Every time my DZ87KLT75K MB Boots, Intel Boot Agent GE,Version 1.4.10 runs, and FAILS

First it says a cabble is broken? (PXE 61, then M0F), then displays a long MAC Adress, and after a "_" spins for a while, it too FAILS (M0F).

This slows down my boot time a lot, and since it fails anyway, I would like to turn it off, so it won't run at all?

Any HELP would be greatly appriciated, Por Favor.

D201GLY2 XP installation problem

$

I have a D201GLY2 motherboard that I am bringing back into service.  I used to have XP Pro installed on it and want to reinstall it but it won' install.  I have the latest bios and have tried every configuration possible in the bios but it still refuses to install.  I have been able to install Windows 7 (which Intel says won't work but it runs fine, just very slow, where XP is much snappier on this board).  My thinking is that it is a sata driver problem but I can't find the sata driver for this board on the Intel site as the D201GLY2 board as it has a SiS662* Graphics and Memory Controller (Northbridge) and a SiS964* I/O Controller (Southbridge). I used to run XP with SATA disabled in the bios but that won't work now.  Probably something to do with the updated bios.

Anybody know how to get XP re-installed.
