I have desktop Board DH55TC. I recently installed PCI-E card X-4143 for USB 3.0. Since I installed this card, Windows-7 automatically restarts after shut down. Is this card compatible DH55TC board?

When I disable this card in device manager problem disappears.

Any suggestion on what may be causing this problem.

VMware ESXi 5.5 hangs on ACPI initialization on DQ67OW

Hi,

I'm using a DQ670W motherboard as a VMWare ESXi whitebox for my personal use. It works great with ESXi up to 5.1U1.

ESXi 5.5 has been released but it hangs on ACPI initialization on startup or install. Searching on google, other brands of motherboards are facing the same problem, they released a new BIOS update to make ESXi 5.5 work even if their motherboard are not officially supported by VMware.
Is Intel aware of this problem ? Will a BIOS update be released ?

I can provide technical information for investigation.

Hi,

please help me to redirect the video outpt to the ports located on the IO-shield.

A year ago I have had messed up , playing with settings related to the default video output.

If I remember right it was the LVDS-port I have had set to default.

I have no video output anymore with the regular display(VGA,DVI,HDMI).

After powering up I can see activity on the led's and an inserted USB-stick.

As of the the time the working BIOS  was 00104.

Board ID: BTYG23100RFX AA G23736-504

CPU:Core i3 3225 resp Core i3 2100

Thanks in advance.

DH61AG | new gen. Bios 105 breaks TV Card recognise

We are developing digital Signage Systems using the DH61AG. Since 2 Years we are build System with the
same HW.

On two of my test systems Installed the new Bios gen 105. (Update from old gen 45 to 99 transition,104,105).

Since that day the bios has problems to recognize and initialize the TV Tuner Card stable. some time it
works, sometimes the card is not detected and not visible in the Bios. it’s a try and error game with power on / off

Both system where in the lab for over 1 year without any problem detecting the PCI-E Tuner Card (heavy daily use)we didn’t touch the HW from

the system for over one year, only the bios update was done. since that, I observe on both system the same behavior.

it is not the Tuner HW Card, its definably some changes in the Bios.

Unfortunately  it’s not possible to downgrade to 45 Bios Version, so the system are broken at the moment.

Does any one else run into this issue ?

Intel please help and fix it in the next Bios.  (106 ?)

Thx.

Right Click on Desktop causes Delay because of igfxsrvc.exe

Hello,

the process igfxsrvc.exe is apparently part of the Intel Common User Interface and in use/started when I perform a right click on the desktop which causes an annoying delay of about 2 seconds while opening the context menu.

What is that process for?

Can I disable it or is there another way to avoid the delay?

DZ77SL-50K How do you configure Secure Boot options?

Does anyone have any documentation on how to configure Secure Boot?

I'm looking for specific steps on how to get the UEFI interface to load keys. You can put a check box by Secure boot but not check any of the other options.

I once found the steps here in the forums but no longer can I find the posts.

I also found online a nice site that documented the Visual BIOS but it was older and did not cover Secure Boot.

Is there no documentation on the Intel site on how to correctly configure Secure boot?

I've found how to install Windows 8/8.1 but no real articles on the correct procedure to setup secure boot.

DH67BL upgrade BIOS to v160 and now gives checksum error

$

I just updated my DH67BL's BIOS from (I think) v146 to the latest which appears to be v160.  I updated the BIOS using the F7 method.

After upgrade, at each boot I get a now checksum warning error - which I didn't get before.  Apart from this warning nothing else seems amiss (after only a few minutes of use).

I have tried downloading the BIO file again and redoing the upgrade, but it doesn't change anything.  I tried clearing the event log in F2 setup.  But it keeps reappearing.

I cannot find any other indication here that anyone else has seen this as a problem.

The only change I have noticed with this release is that it respects the settings I made for a primary monitor (the previous version assumed it knew which one the primary monitor was).

Where do I go from here to fix the issue?

Do I need to fix the issue?

Enables individual SATA ports to be enable or disabled as needed ???

Dear Support,

Why doesn't exist this option???

In this pdf You told that this option is available but it's not true

http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/q87-q85-chipset-brief.pdf

SATA Port Disable Enables individual SATA ports to be enabled or disabled as needed. This feature provides added protection of data

by preventing malicious removal or insertion of data through SATA ports. Especially targeted for eSATA ports

In the bios there isn't an enable/disable option by sata ports individually, you can only enable/disable the hot swap capability.

Anybody who agree with me please share this request in other forums too because this feature uninplemented still yet.

With Best Regards

UDMA CRC errors

$

May I ask a more theoretical question about SSD SMART UDMA CRC errors: Since it's a communication error between SATA controller and the SSD, there are tons of answers on the net that faulty cables are the reason. I assume that faulty controllers on both sides could result in that error as well. But is it possible that an UDMA CRC error hapens with flawless cable, cable contact and controllers? Could software cause such an error when entire hardware is perfectly healthy?

My SSD has one, but the hardware is most probbly perfect. The reason why I don't believe it's hardware related is the fact that while it happened I burned a dvd without infupdate and rst and all other drivers. I installed the system and suddenly had to do something important. As part of verification of the burn success I also used to check SSD SMART in addition. And there was the CRC rate at 1. All other remained at 0 except for those that increase by nature of couse.

Disable S5 deep sleep for WoL on D525MW

Hello! I've got a D525MW (AAE93082-401) with the latest BIOS installed.

I've tried enabling the "Wake on LAN on S5 state" feature from the BIOS menu, but I'm not able to let the computer wake on magic packet sent. I think the problem is that when I shutdown the computer, it goes to S5 state on deep sleep mode, because the ethernet card shuts down, too.

I've setup the OS to enable this feature (via ethtool, the WoL enabled and set to "g").

Is there anything I've missed? I see no option at all about deep sleep on my BIOS.

Thanks

DZ87KLT-75K PESIMA ACTUALIZACION DE BIOS, POSIBLE SOLUCION?

$

Saludos

How to find motherboard serial number

$

I have a two year old Arbico PC with an ASUS P8Z77-V LX motherboard, and I'm having problems installing patch "Intel USB 3.0 Driver V 1.0.5.235 for Windows Win7 32bit & Win7 64bit---(WHQL)". I got the patch from http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/P8Z77V_LX/HelpDesk_download/

All attempts at getting support fail at the question "Serial Number". I don't have one, and recommendations to find it on the box are doomed; I never had the box... and even if I did, I've lost it by now. Or the dog's chewed it (My faithful dog, Polly, chewed the last ever letter I got from the US Internal Revenue Service. I was in the process of moving house, and I've never heard back from the IRS since... GOOD dog!)

The problem I encountered was that the patch failed to install one of the drivers. It had no problem deleting my existing driver, but when the patch failed, it left me with no driver for my keyboard/mouse. 5 minutes later, Windows Power Saving turned off my displays, leaving me in a bit of a pickle... I eventually recovered by using Remote Desktop Connection from my HP Proliant server, and then using  System Restore to rollback the failed driver update.

This (paradoxically) seems to have fixed my USB3 issues, but I really should try to get that patch applied. I suspect that my USB3 problem went away because I changed my USB3 configuration (I removed a 7-port Powered USB hub).

Is there any way of finding out which driver caused the patch to abort, and why?

Is there some other way of updating the drivers

How to make a bootable Linux USB Stick with the DH87RL Mother Board, UEFI and MS Windows 8.1

$

Hi,

I'v got the following configuration

Mother Board Model: DH87RL

Board Version: AAG7420-403
BIOS Version: RLH8710H.86A.327.2014.0924.1645

Operating System: MS Windows 8.1 Pro

For diagnostic purposes, I'm trying to make a bootable Linux USB Stick with YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer). But during startup (using UEFI) , my system doesn't recognise the USB stick as a bootable decive, although in UEFI I've put USB devices on top of the list of possible bootable devices.

The only bootable USB stick that really works is a Windows 8.1 recovery stick, but I want to use some other sticks with Linux!

Does anyone have a solution?

Hi

I have a D845GRG and want to upgrade the ram. I found out that the motherboard supports up to 2gb ddr 266mhz but before i buy the 2gb (2x1gb) ram, i just want to double check if both slots support 1gb in them. I don't really want to buy them and if out that both slots don't support 1gb. At the moment it only has 768mb (1x512mb and 1x256mb). Can someone please tell if the slots can accept 1gb in each?
