Super I/O overheating 125°C

$

I bought my PC a year back, it configuration is

Core i7 4770

2*8GB 1600Mhz crosair RAM

Zotac nvidia gtx 760 GPU

DH87MC motherboard

2TB HDD

UMAX 700W PSU

The problem is that the Super I/O is overheating and its temperature is over the threshold. The temperature of Super I/O is 125°C. I checked this in Intel desktop utilities and also in virtual BIOS.

PC all of a sudden got powered off and then it didn't boot up at all not even BIOS. If I press the power button the PC powers ON for about 3 seconds and then gets switched off. And so I opened the CPU cabin and noticed that there were two LEDs ON, RED and GREEN. The Red one is for POWER FAULT. I removed the power cable and after sometime I put it back. And that RED LED is OFF. After that the desktop utilities popped up and showed me about the super I/O. How to solve this problem. The PC boots and works but I have noticed its performance is reduced at least by 25%. Please help

PCIe server card PCIe TPH problem

Hi all,

I buy a server networking card I210.

It has a PCIe advance feature TPH (TLP Processing Hints).

But I don't find the Intel chipset or motherboard's pcie port could support this feature.

I want to try the TPH efficacy.

Could any expert help me to give me the Intel chipset or Intel motherboard model name that support TPH?

Thank you very much.

After regular shutdown - Intel 82579LM - This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Hi guys,

Sorry that I create new post but this thread (Intel 82579LM - Error code 10) is little bit different cause LcsFletcher have different problem.

On my motherboard Intel DX79SI, there are 2 adapters. Intel 82574L and problematic Intel 82579LM.

Newest bios 0650 and network driver Intel 82579LM - PROWinx64_19.5

After boot of machine from poweroff state (not unplugged cable just normal Shutdown in Windows), the adapter is in warning state with error "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".

Not very nice workarounds:

  • When I uninstall 82579LM as device from device manager and rescan devices, card is installed again and everything is OK and it continue work properly.
  • Another method is not to shutdown PC, just reboot machine and adapter is OK.
  • Disable adapter and enable it from device manager works.

I tried without succesfull:

  • uninstall with driver and install drivers again
  • disabling Windows to manage powerstate
  • unplug all devices (Nvidia 560TI and Adaptec 5405 raid) boot without them ....
  • resetting CMOS by F9 in Configuration state
  • unplug battery for bios....
  • older and new Intel proset drivers included Microsoft default driver from 2013
  • NVM Update Utility for Intel 82579V  - not works for that adapter
  • Windows Safe mode and .... same operations
  • Finally also reinstalled Windows - same problem

So finally, my adapter is in bad state with Error Code 10 only after boot from shutdown (not reboot)

This is strange, cause I used it for 2 years without this issue.

Masters, I am at the end of my knowledge and google does not help. Pleeeeease .....

Hi ,

I was wondering if someone could guide me to a replacement for the Intel mini-itx DQ67EP since it is end-of-life. Something with the same "form, fit, and function" would be great.

Thank,

DH61CR, after bios update, fails to boot

Hi everyone,

I have a pc with DH61CR motherboard, i5-2400, 4GB of RAM. Decided to update bios. Working bios was form year 2010. Express bios flash failed few times, with newest, and few earlier vesions. Decided to flash to next version after curent, working one. Success. Then I flashed one, from Dec 2012. Success. Bios looks different, mouse cursor, etc. Nice... The problem is, that it freezes in first BIOS window, showing Intel logo. If i press F10, i get boot devices list, but after selecting anything, it freezes, only reset helps. Bios update with F7 does not do nothing. Tried resetting BIOS, changing RAM, even CPU, without graphics card - the same. Tried BIOS recovery mode by removing jumper - no image, just cycling between on and off. Is there a way to revive motherboard? I have experience of 10 years of fixing similar issues, but I think only way now is RMA it. Any advice is very welcomed, thanks.

Intel AC-7260 Wifi is Slow While Using Bluetooth

Hi,

So I have a Dell Latitude E7240 (Windows 7 Pro x64) with an Intel AC-7260 card, and while the wifi is fine during normal use, if I hook up my bluetooth speaker, the wifi speed is very slow, and seems to load small amounts of data every 10 seconds or so. I updated to the latest drivers on Intel's site, but it still seems to do the same thing. Has anyone else had this issue? What's the best way to fix it?

Thanks,

Anthony

Intel HD graphics causing high CPU utilization

$

Using the DH61AG motherboard onboard graphics with the latest Intel drivers, Task Manager showed unusually high CPU usage (up to 30%) by System (NT Kernel & System) when watching movies.  I tried this without the onboard graphics and CPU utilization went down to roughly 0 for System.  Using Process Explorer, I've tracked it down to ntoskml.exe!WheaAttemptPhysicalPageOffline+0x350 and dxgmms1.sys.  I believe this is the Intel graphics driver making a DirectX call to page system memory.  If there is a way to fix this or if I have to wait for a driver release please let me know.

intel dp965lt ME error

i get this error when i boot up my desktop.

it's quite old PC, but apart from this working just fine.

It stood still for about 2 years after power supply went, then recently i got another and decided to restart this PC.. did not work, so i removed battery and it booted with this errors :

it says :

ME failed to initialize. Press enter

then ME failed to initialize DRAM. Press enter.

then ME failed to intialize. Press enter

After this windows boots , and there no problems.

I just want to get rid of this boot errors.

Tried all three methods to flash bios to latest version. All three failed.

Bios recovery failed : 0x80000003, 1933

Iflash starts but screen goes black... no indication its doing the recovery.

PC still boots thankfully

In bios it say ME firmware version unknown.

Also, I have memory in two blue slots. if i remove one, it keep saying memory decreased. Even after several reboots. it's like bios not remembering new memory config.

But it remember date when i update.

Tried to remove battery for about 30 min but still same error

How can i simply get rid of these boot errors.

I don't mind so much that it shows windows error in device manager. Or system not running optimally. Just want to get rid of bios boot erros

thanks in advance

External HDD firmware update made my system unbootable

After updating the firmware of my external HDD WD My Book, my toshiba laptop with a toshibainternalHDD, is no longer able to boot and I can'tenter the BIOS either. The internal HDD has three partitions, two with Windows 8 and one automatically created and reserved for the system. This message appears after the toshiba logo leaves the screen:

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 083)

This product is covered by one or more of the following pattents

US5,307,459, US5,434,872, US5,732,094, US6,570,884

US6,115,776 and US6,327,625

Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Series v1,27 (10/31/11)

PXE-E61: Media text failure, check cable

PXE-MOF: Exiting PXE ROM Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in Selected Boot device and press a key

If I may, I would like to know how to make my system boot from my internal HDD as before, and if(and why) a firmware update of an external hard drive produced this situation. It seems weird to me but I can't figure out another explanation. I tried to fix the problem with Intel ME FW Recovery Agent but it is not able to connect to the internet (though I have conexion).

  • The system boots from a Live USB with Ubuntu, GRUB is loaded and it allows me to choose windows as the OS. I have two windows installed in two different partitions and I can work on both of them properly. Both the Ubuntu USB and the internal HDD are MBR formated, but Ubuntu has ext4 and Windows NTFS. In the internal HDD the system reserved partition is marked as active (0x80).
  • The pc does notboot from a USBWindows 8 Installer. This is the USB from which I installed the current SO. Using an hex editor, in both the Windows USB and internal HDD, I can see the same message written just before the code of the partition table:
Invalid partition table. Error loading operating system. Missing operating system.
  • BIOSsetup was to boot from a HDD first, USB was second, I enabled fast boot, intel ia was enabled (I don't remember the exact name of this option).

I must say that I strongly believe that before this happened I already have updated all the drivers and restarted the computer after that. But as I did that so many times I think I need to comment just in case I wasn't right, and this may be consequence of a driver udpate. I belive that the last driver I installed was the Intel Managment Engine. What I do know is that the BIOS version was not updated (it was the last version available) and that the Intel Chipset SW Utility was installed.

Need help replacing my existing motherboard

I had the below configuration in my assembled desktop:

Processor: 2.8 Ghz Intel Core I5-2300 (socket LGA-1155), 2nd generation.

Motherboard: Intel DH67BL, Micro ATX Form Factor, Intel H67 Chipset, LGA 1155 socket type, 2nd generation.

RAM: 2 * 2GB DDR3 RAM

HDD: 500GB Seagate SATA

Graphics Card: PCI EXP 1GB ATI Radeon XFX H5670

Few days back, my PC was not starting when the power button was pressed. I had my CPU analyzed and they mentioned that the power supply section and the intel chipset of my motherboard is faulty. For that they suggested me to change the motherboard and processor as 2nd generation motherboard is out of the market.

My processor is working fine and I don't want to replace it as it is very costly. Can someone suggest any other motherboard of recent generations that would be compatible with the above configuration.
