Hi People, I'm new here and could use some help.

I Just built a box using the dz68bc board, running win 7 home premium 64b retail,  and I've updated the bios to version 0042, the aa number is g30742-401. With a 2nd gen core I3 installed everything works as it should, when I install a 3rd gen core I5 (3570 sr0t7) the system just reboots and reboots and reboots, I can't even get into the bios. And I'm getting the same thing on 2 identical boards. Am I missing something, Intel says the chip is compatible but I can't get it to work.

Thanks

John

I found various threads but most of them indicated a bad SATA cable to be the issue. Since this is a mSATA drive which is directly attached to the mainboard there's no cable involved.

Then I found a thread on this forum indicating a voltage problem. Can anyone confirm compatibility issues with this mainboard+msata combination?

Is there a way to override and manually adjust the voltage in the BIOS to provide the msata drive with the appropriate voltage?

Hello ,

My name is Arnab Patra.

I am using Intel Motherboard DB75EN and i am facing following problems

1. When i connect my external seagate HDD to motherboard's any usb port (may be usb 2.0 or usb 3.0) it hangs on splash screen and nothing happens. But if i connect my external hdd into another machine (which is not a INTEL DB75EN Motherboard machine ) it boots properly.

2. When i am working on windows if any kind of usb pendrive is connect into any usb port (may be usb 2.0 or usb 3.0) it stops recognizing the usb device which is been plugged into usb 2.0 port and mouse stops working.

3. some time it stops recognizing usb devices such as usb mouse or usb hdd or usb pendrive by its own.

I already contacted intel tech support and they replaced my motherboard .

but I am facing same problem with the new one.

I still have 9 months of warranty period left.

i am using following hardware

1. PSU : 500 watt smps

2. 4gb kingston ram

3. 500gb seagate SATA HDD

4. Intel core i5 processor with intel hd graphics 2500

5. No graphics card installed.

DZ87KLT-75K BIOS UPDATE for Upcoming 5th Gen CPU Broadwell ? & Windows 10 Driver Support?

$

It's all over the internet that Broadwell will be launching some time in June of this year and it will reportedly launch only two 1150 CPUs all Unlocked namely Core i7-5775C and the Core i5-5675C this are 14nm parts.

Both the i7-5775C and the i5-5675C are quad-core parts, with TDP rated as low as 65W. The i7-5775C offers clock speeds of 3.30 GHz, with 3.70 GHz Turbo Boost, while the i5-5675C offers 3.10 GHz, with 3.60 GHz Turbo Boost. The i7-5775C comes with just 6 MB of L3 cache, while the i5-5675C offers just 4 MB of it. The i7-5775C offers HyperThreading, letting the OS address eight logical CPUs, while the i5-5675C lacks it. Both chips feature Intel's Iris Pro 6200 series integrated graphics, and feature dual-channel DDR3L-1600 memory support.

This will be good for the DZ87KLT-75K as its the last Intel Desktop Board plus the above mentioned CPUs will be the last of 1150 socket, If Intel could spare some time and update the DZ87KLT-75K's BIOS to at list support the Broadwell 14nm. Intel refused to support Haswell Refresh as far as we've seen. Maybe Since broadwell seems to make much of an upgrade sense in terms of power consumption and optical shrink it would be nice to have support for the upcoming two chips.

Windows 10

I hope we will not be left behind support wise in regards to Windows 10 drivers for DZ87KLT-75K when the operating system launches its the next big thing coming out and supports DX12, Intel please consider.

D2550DC2 64-Bit Windows Video Driver?

This board is about 2-3 years old, but I still can't find the 64-bit video driver. There is only the Windows 7 32-bit driver. This makes this board not very useful. With its age, 64-bit Windows (7 and 8) should be supported.

INTEL DH55TC Desktop board (Intel Core i3 540) and Windows 7 x64 Professional SP1 does not work with 16 GB of RAM

Hi All, my INTEL DH55TC Desktop board (Intel Core i3 540) has been working fine with 8 GB RAM and Windows 7 x64 Professional SP1, updated with all patches from "windows update".

Recently added another 8 GB (in detail 4x4GB) for working with 16 GB of total amount of RAM.

BIOS can recognize all the RAM without problems, CENTOS 7 Live CD can initialize and work with new RAM 16 GB without problems.

The problem is to init with windows 7, restart continually at the begining.

Init from safe mode always restart.

Init from from debug mode locks at classpnp.sys file.

Init from installation DVD or Recovery CD always restart.

BIOS updated to TCIBX10H.86A.0048.2011.1206.1342 with date 12/06/2011 successfully.

Help please.

Regards,

DMA in ICH

Hello everybody,

I want to understand - how implements a DMA mechanism in modern systems. I looked a ICH7 specification and found that it has two DMA controllers. I just want to understand how this is done from the point of view of end devices. Can any device that runs on any bus (SATA, USB, PCIe etc.) use the DMA engine (through DMI?) ? Is this actions initiating by chipset driver every time? Or DMA is using for IDE UDMA mode only? How NICs, soundcards etc. (include USB implementation of its) performs data transfers with memory? Not through CPU?

Please, share with me a general information about it (specifications, Intel's publications etc.)...

DZ77GA-70K won't boot 2-4-4-2 beeps

I'm trying to troubleshoot a DZ77GA-70K board.  I have an i5 CPU (listed as compatible) and get a port 80h (on board LED) code of E6, and 2-4-4-2 beep code.  I've changed video, memory, reset the BIOS jumper, hit the Reset button, but always get the same result.  I can't find this beep code in the Intel documentation, and the E6 code is 'loading drivers.'  Any ideas would be appreciated.

DH55TC not supporting RAM above 8GB

Hello,

I am having a Intel DH55TC motherboard with an i3 processor and WIndows 7 (64bit) Ultimate on my machine. Currently, I am having 8 GB of RAM on my board and it's working perfectly fine.

Now, due to some new requirements, I want to increase my RAM to 12 GB by adding one more 4GB module. After inserting the new RAM making a total of 12 GB, the BIOS is detecting 12GB of RAM but the OS boots up very slowly...taking around 10-15 mins and then it also runs very slow. The moment I reduce the total RAM to anything less than or equal to 8GB, things start running smoothly.

Can anyone please guide me - what should I do next?

Thanks,

Vinay Pugalia

Should I be concerned about RST verification errors?

$

I have a RAID 10 array on my DP55WG.  I am running Rapid Storage Technology in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.  I've gotten into the habit of doing a Verify every few days because of some problems I was having.  I always come up with 0 blocks with media errors, and I know that’s good, but I also always come up with a fistful (20 to 60) of verification errors.  Almost all (or perhaps all) of them are in the first 10% of the verification process.   Is this something I should worry about?

Neither the user’s interface nor the help file tells us much about what is going on.  It may be normal to get this number of errors.  Perhaps they are tabulated, but always corrected by ECC.  I’m hoping someone more informed than me will weigh in.  If it is something to worry about, what can I do?

DQ77KB no video no post no beeps

I bought a dq77kb mainboard and I cannot get to show information on a display.

Also the keyboard numlock led does not light up.

The processor is in the compatible procs list

its a i3-3220T processor. The cpu fan start to run. I have a headset plugged in and I do not hear any beeps

When I remove the memory I hear the 3 beeps.

I can't go to the bios as I can see anything. It appears the usb ports don't get power.

I would try a bios upgrade if I could, but it doesn't get to that stage. So no POST either. Tried clear CMOS with power cable dettached, doesn't help

All of this has also been performed out of the chassis with only one memory card in place, no connections but the power switch. It starts running it gives no unusual led activity and no beeps.

The processor is compatible and I don't have any other processors.

The power is connected externally and it has 90 Watts. It boots up an hp laptop nicely with no issues.

I followed all the troubleshooting steps but don't know what else there is I can do.

I have seen multiple posts regarding similar issues. They have not been answered by Intel here:

intel DX79SR WD Fire LED blinking

recently recieved a new intel DX79SR from an RMA due to my old one going out.  well i installed everything back into it as it was previously and now on top of what appears to be my heatsink(h20 920) going out, my computer is blinking red the WD Fire LED on the motherboard.  i tried reapplying thermal paste checking the temp of the processor to make sure it wasn't overheating and it still does this it was also giving 3 long beeps but i moved the ram around a bit and that fixed the beeps.  i'm actually wondering if the heatsink is the issue or if the motherboard is defective at this point.  also it was odd if i had the memory in certain slots it would read as defective ram but moving them into different slots made it read as functioning. wondering if on top of this WD fire LED blinking if the memory slots themselves aren't defective.

anyways the specs are below
