My system gets powered on when i press a key in keyboard after shutting down

Im using DH61HO board and i have installed windows 8 OS . After shutting down my system it automatically boots up if i press any keys in my keyboard. This happens only for PS/2 keyboards. Kindly help to solve this issue.

Updated BIOS and all it does is restart and restart. Can't even boot up BIOS.

Hello Intel staff, I own a Intel DZ68BC and updated to the 0042 bios. Now all I get is restart, restart, restart. I can't even access BIOS. I've tried moving the yellow pin, doing steps I read online such as remove CMOS for a bit and put back in. I'd like this issue fixed! I simply ran the .exe, let it do it's thing and once it restart all it does IS restart and restart. I'm to the point of throwing my laptop that I'm on right now at the wall, pulling my car over my new gaming rig, which is now CRAP because of your BIOS update. As you can see I'm just so ****** off. Is there any way on the board to FORCE it to go back to what it was before the update?

Greetings. I just bought the DX58SO which works like a charm, untill you fook it up I have inserted 3x2 GB Cosair 1600 MHz which worked at first, then by a mistake i changed the memory CAS from 9-9-9-24 to 8-8-8-24. Now... no boot, nothin on the screen.. no go. I have tryed to reset the BIOS by pulling out the BIOS battery for 3-4 hours, i tryed to remove the Jumper for the "BIO´s reset" but still nothing happens.... what am i doing wrong?

Alle help is much appreciated!

Thanks!

dx58so wont start

I have read many of the discussions regarding dx58so boot-up issues but mine appears to be a bit different.

Issue

---------

I wanted to upgrade the BIOS via the USB method (Desktop Boards — Instructions for Recovery BIOS update), so I followed the steps given in that doc.  I removed the jumper as given in url (above) so that the bios recovery is triggered, but that didnt work (no video, no beep, nothing). I waited for 15min or so and shutdown the machine. I replaced the jumper to normal and then started up again, but again no video, no beep.

I purchased a POST card and plugged that into the system to see any indication of an error and all I can see is 03 code. The intel manual do not help in understanding the post code but my guess is that the bios is somehow corrupted. I have tried many things suggested in various blogs/discussions and still clueless on the real problem (Ex. remove all mem and go to basic config to boot or use the jumper in config mode, etc). The system was working earlier, just that my hard-drive crashed before I embarked in upgrading the bios.

Is there a known issue in bios recovery? I purchased the board in 2010 so the bios should be during that time. Any pointers would be of great help.t_g

Three Beeps upon booting DH87RL board and no video

I have just started my first build. I have everything set up and plugged in, but when I attempt to boot I get three beeps. From what I have read this is a RAM issue. I have followed the troubleshooting steps: tried every DIMM slot, cleaned the gold plates, and reseated over and over again. On top of that, I cannot get any video to load, both with or without my EVGA 750Ti graphics card plugged. Therefore I can't test the ram or update the bios very easily. I am attempting to use an 8 GB kvr16r11d4/8hc Kingston RAM and I do not have any others lying around to try as this is my first build. Does anybody have any suggestions? I am very new and need some helpful advice to get this thing working.

Marvel (Grey SATA Ports) not working on DZ77GA-70K

Hi guys,

I've never really used the Grey Marvell SATA ports, but now I wanted to add another HDD and decided to and cannot for the life of me get them to work. Is there anything I need to do?

I have secondary SATA enabled in BIOS. And when I go to BIOS to see my sata ports, it only shows my Intel SSD connected to SATA 0 and doesn't show any of my connected drives.  It also does not show my grey SATA ports in BIOS?  Only shows SATA 0-5

Blue SATA 0: Intel 520 240gb SSD

Blue SATA 1: Seagate 1.5tb Barracuda HDD

Black SATA 2: 500gb Seagate Barracuda HDD

Black SATA 3: 1.5TB Seagate Barracuda HDD

Black SATA 4: DVD Burner

Black SATA 5: Bluray Drive

Grey SATA 6: 3TB Seagate Barracuda HDD

Grey SATA 7: Empty

I'm using:

OS: Windows 8.1  Pro 64bit

Motherboard: Intel DZ77GA-70K

BIOS Version: 0066

BIOS Mode: UEFI

Any help would be much appreciated as I want to get my new 3TB HDD working. Thanks

xw4200 WorkStation recognizes 4gb but only uses 3.25gb

Okay,

So basically my PC is only recognizing 3.25gb of my Ram. I have researched this various ammounts of times. Done BIOS updates (Currently on Version 1.09)

I have tried a few methods like the MSConfig>Memory>AdvancedSettings.

Even CPU-Z recognizes all 4gb. Same in my BIOS and Same in My Computer except only 3.25 is usable.

Im not sure if this is even in the right section. Sorry if its not I did look around for the most appropriate section

DZ68 chipset and Smart Response Technology

$

If I go to http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-032826.htm, I see that "Z68, Z87, Q87, H87, Z77, Q77, H77 Express" chipsets support Smart Response Technology. But if I download the SRT User Guide further down on that page, I read that only "Z87, Q87, H87, Z77, Q77, H77 Express" chipsets are valid. Is that just a clerical error in the document or is there a different version of the user guide for DZ68 chipsets? I ask this because the forum includes many comments from a number of people who had trouble configuring SRT.

Also, that user guide has some photos showing how to use SRT. On the Enable Acceleration dialog, there is a selection for "Full disk capacity (maximum 64 GB)." Does this imply that there is an absolute limit of 64 GB with Smart Response Technology or was that simply the size of the SSD used in the example?

DQ87PG Motherboard inoperable after BIOS update v149 (latest)

I updated my BIOS to v149 hoping it would solve some minor intermittent USB issues I was having with an external drive.

Everything seemed to have gone fine after going through the BIOS update. "Flash update successful" and what not. The motherboard was made in 1st Q of 2014 and had a stock bios v144. I did not do any incremental updates between 144 and  149

After changing the BIOS settings (now version 149) to fully UEFI bios, and disabling legacy boot, my DQ87PG motherboard refuses to boot.

I get (x2) two one sec beeps. And then nothing. No screen. No HD activity that would tell me loading an OS. Nothing

But the worst part of all is that I have no way of accessing the BIOS since the CPU I'm using (intel approved xeon e-1230 v3)

doesn't have an integrated GPU. So I get no video from my PCIe graphics card. Which tells me perhaps the graphics card isn't uefi compliant. Maybe when the computer tries to boot it thinks there's no GPU to use. This is my best guess

I've tried clearing the CMOS by taking the battery off for a few hours. But that didn't do anything. If this is indeed a BIOS settings problem, clearing the CMOS achieved nothing

So it would seem I'm SOL.

However.. I'm able to get video if I do a BIOS recovery (taking the security BIOS jumpers off). This allows me to downgrade/upgrade BIOS

So what I've done so far is try to downgrade incrementally all the way down to BIOS 139. Any BIOS files below 139 the motherboard seemed to ignore.

Trying all BIOS between 148 and 139 seem fruitless. The exact behavior was observed. Two consecutive two one-sec beeps. And then nothing. No screen.

Anyone out there experienced this problem? Anyone with ideas on a fix before I toss this board out?

Thanks

Intel deleted the DZ68BC Configuration Label (and all other configuration labels I looked for) from its download website for some reason. Does anyone here have it on their blog for download or does it exist somewhere else? The author of other ones, maybe all of them, was Lois Hill using Word 2007.

DZ68DB - should I switch from raid to ahci for single SSD?

$

0

When I originally built my PC with a DZ68DB board, I added a Intel SSD 311 20G  ssd to use as a cache. So the BIOS specifies RAID since I was using Rapid Storage Technology to form a RAID with my SATA drive.

I have now disabled RST and removed the 20G ssd cache drive. I cloned my old SATA boot drive to a Samsung 850 Pro SSD. In the BIOS where RAID is marked (vs IDE or AHCI), it says in the help description that RAID always includes AHCI. So am I losing any functionality/performance (like TRIM) with my SSD leaving the BIOS configured with RAID option? The Samsung Magician software gives a warning that performance will be less since it is not in AHCI mode, but not sure if that is a general warning and not always true based on the bios description for RAID.

I definitely don't want to reinstall WIndows and prefer not to play around with the registry to switch to AHCI unless it will make a big difference.

Thank you
