Which of these two drivers should i install on my P5Q-E?

I've got an old "Asus P5Q-E" motherboard and  i wonder if i should install Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager Driver V8.9.0.1023 and Intel(R) AHCI/RAID Driver Disk 7 (which i've done everytime i've done a clean install of Windows 7 up til now) or the much newer drivers called  Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) RAID Driver? I don't use my two ssds in a RAID configuration and the older one seems to support both AHCI ands RAID, that's why im asking, .

Specs:

Motherboard: Asus P5Q-E

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 9550

SSD: Intel 530 series 120GB

Ram: 8GB DDR2 800mhz

GPU: Asus GTX770

Intel Matrix Storage Manager Offline Drives

I have a RAID 5 array with 3 drives.  Recently one of the drives failed.  No big deal I thought.  I swapped the drive and rebooted.  The bios asked me if I wanted to use the new drive, I said yes.  It said it would rebuild in Windows.  Makes sense.  Go into Windows and the Storage Manager Console says the 2 drives are offline members.  I can't figure out how to get them online. I reboot and the bios sees them as offline members as well although it clearly sees they are present.  I think most of the data is backed up but it is about 7 years of home photos and videos.  I'm afraid some of the videos may not have been picked up by Carbonite so I'd like to get the array rebuilt.  Any clues on how to get it to see the two remaining drives as online so it can start a rebuild?

RAM for DP43BF mainboard

Hi all, new to this forum...

I have an Intel DP43BF mainboard running a Q9550 CPU.

I bought it second hand with 2 x 2 GB RAM installed running in Dual-channel.
The RAM says "TW3X4G1333C9A" (Corsair)

A few days ago I wanted to add another 4 GB and bought 2 x 2 GB via ebay.
These say "CMX2GX3M1A1333C9" (also Corsair).

Both are not recognized.
So unless I got sold 2 broken ones (which I don't like to assume), is there anything different with these which would prevent them to work ? (to me both seem DDR3 1333 MHz, so I'm stumped, but I don't have very much knowledge about this)

Could it be a problem with high vs. low density ?

But I see nothing about it on the Corsair site for the respective memories.

XMS3 — 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (TW3X4G1333C9

XMS3 — 2GB (1x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz C9 Memory Kit (CMX2GX3M1A1333C9)

What do  I have to check for when bying again to make sure the memory is working with my board ?

Thanks.

Haswell Refresh & Intel 8-Series Motherboards: it's a shame.

Hi to all.
I think the title is explicit.

As most people knows, Intel 8-Series chipsets based Motherboards will work with Haswell Refresh CPUs, just a BIOS update is needed.

I know that future Broadwell chips won't work.

I decided to build a workstation using an Intel motherboard, DH87MC, with latest Core i7 4790 Haswell Refresh CPU. Clean 4790, not 4790K.

I preferred an Intel 8-series MB rather than an Asus/MSI/etc 9-series based 'cause I use Intel motherboard for years (the oldest build is an ancient AN430TX, for Pentium MMX).

I love Intel motherboard for its clean design, without useless 3rd party chips that causes only driver issues; honestly I'm sad about the decision by Intel to leave MB market.

I'm only a small italian OEM and I know I can't change Intel decisions, but INTEL WAKE UP!

you have the resources to update the BIOS to your MBs to support your latest Haswell Refresh CPUs.

PLEASE MAKE THIS BIOS UPDATE, Intel, you are the biggest IT Company and a lot of persons bought your MBs for years (like me).

let's make this update, to honor the trust we put in you.

DH87RL & Realtek High Definition Audio HDMI Audio Problem (Windows 10 Professional x64)

Hi Community,

I have recently upgraded my media PC to Windows 10 Professional x64 from Windows 7 Professional x64 and the process was fairly smooth. Unfortunately, I have been unable to succeed trying to configure HDMI audio since the upgrade. This was working perfectly in Windows 7 but upon me upgrading to Windows 10 there appeared to be no drivers for a High Definition Audio Device in my Device manager list.

I went to the Intel Download Center and made sure I was using the latest available drivers and upgraded my BIOS just now to the latest revision but still no success.

To be more precise, I am able to view an image via HDMI and this is my primary video output (TV). I am able to have audio sent via the analogue jacks and the optical jack just fine. Windows and the Realtek software simply do not have support for HDMI audio for some reason.

My Realtek Driver Version is: 6.0.1.7535 (this is newer than the latest version listed on Intel's site by a significant margin and appeared to ship with Windows 10).

What else should I check on my end to make sure it is simply not a misconfiguration by me? Has anyone else had a similar issue and managed to resolve it?

RAM for DG31PR. I want to get an 8GB DDR3 RAM. Is it fine and compatible? If not please suggest me

I have a motherboard of type DG31PR. I guess it would probably be of DDR2. I am planning to get a new RAM of 8GB.  Is there any chance that I would use DDR3 RAM?

Please suggest me whether to get an 8GB RAM of DDR2 or DDR3.

If there is no possibility of 8GB for that board suggest me the best that can fit

Thanks in advance.

DQ35JOE won't POST

My DQ35JOE has always been slow to post.  Black screen with cursor in upper leftt corner for 3-4 mins before POST.  Computer seems to have run fine after finally starting.  In trying to correct this issue I updated the BIOS yesterday to:  JO1143P.  Update appeared to go smoothly, though still had a blank screen for 3-4 mins before POST.  I then shut computer down, pulled power plug and upgraded the video card and RAM (from 2GB - 4GB).  PC would not POST.  I removed all upgrades, and it still won't POST.  I then refered to recovery mode reset and tried:

Pulled plug, removed CMOS battery, removed peripherals, removed jumper, connected monitor to on board VGA connector and waited 1 hour.  Copied .BIO file to CD and restarted PC.  Now the screen is black with no cursor in upper left.

Copied .BIO file to thumb drive, with same end result.  Connected monitor to onboard DVI, same result.  Disconnected HDD to eliminate and possible noise.  Upon investigation the only thing I see, or hear happening is:  The case fans continually speed up and slow down.  Keyboard is unresponsive, tapping Num Locks does not turn LED on.  Screen remains black with no cursor in upper left corner.

Should I consider the board dead?  Any further tips or tricks to try?  Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

Joe

Hello, I have updated my support request advising my compatiblity issues with the replacement DZ77BH-55K board continue. I recently upgraded to Win10 and it seems this has compounded the issue rather than resolve it due to the lack of updated drivers.

Having be offered a refund on this ticket for my previous faulty board (DH67CL), I have uploaded my invoice on a number of occasions, but I haven't had a reply that it has been received. If I could be updated on the process of my refund, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

New build. Used (working) parts. When connecting PSU, the CPU and system fans spin and stop continuously. The green power led stays lit. There is a red led for AMT that is on and off as power seems to cycle. No post or any beeps.

I've tried removing the battery to reset the cmos. Same thing. Tried a second PSU. Tried with and without RAM. Etc. Even tried connecting a network cable to LAN to see if I could get this thing to boot from LAN or reset state. I get a nic led to light but nothing.

When I press the power switch for 10-15 seconds the "cycle" stops and nothing happens excepts green light. A button press just restarts fans and stop again. I'm thinking the board is bad or the bios is stuck in some sort of state.

CPU = Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 @ 2.13GHz

RAM = G.SKILL F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ PC2-8000 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1000 CL5-5-5-15

I've been struggling to get this board (bought on ebay) up and running. I've build systems for years but this thing is a challenge (for me anyways).

Help please.

Problem with DX58SO

Sorry for the bad English, but had to use google translator.

Hello.

Please, I would like your help.

I have a DX58SO and i7 920. The board always worked perfectly (for 4 years) and never had any problem. Recently I decided to reinstall Windows 7 and went to upgrade drivers. I took and decided to upgrade the BIOS. I downloaded the latest version - SOX5810J.86A (exe) and was told that he should shutdown the Windows to restart the computer.

After restarting the system, the upgrade procedure began. When he got "Updating firmware ID" was the message "Failed". I waited 30 minutes and when nothing happened, I turned off the computer.

After that the board simply does not start. The computer turns on, is approximately 7 seconds and restarts. And so is all the time.

I decided to do the BIOS recovery procedure. I saved the file "SO5600P.bio" on a CD, removed the jumper "Bios Setup" and turned on the computer. I know he read the contents of the CD because the CD reading light was blinking for about 20 seconds (without the cd flashes for up to 5). Nothing appears on the screen. The computer doing this procedure for about 20 minutes and nothing happened.

I turned off the computer again, put the jumper in position 2-3, the procedure in "Desktop Boards - Instructions for updating the BIOS recovery" and turned on the computer without the CD.

Again nothing happened and was not displayed anything on the screen.

This procedure was done with Kingston memory 2 GB 1333 in the first memory slot (farther from the black slot) and with only the CD player and the connected video card. All other components (HDDs) have been removed.

I tested it with other memories as well as with other video cards. Also tested other video cards in the second PCI-slot EX 16.

No LED lights or flashes red. Only the green LED is illuminated is the Power Led.

When I turn on the computer without the memories, the motherboard emits 3 beeps as it should.

I really need to get this repair plate because I have no money to buy another processor and motherboard and do not think another motherboard compatible with this processor available to buy.

Thank you for help and a great day everyone.

Olá.

Por favor, gostaria da ajuda de vocês.

Possuo uma DX58SO e um i7 920. A placa sempre funcionou perfeitamente (durante 4 anos) e nunca tive problema. Recentemente resolvi reinstalar o Windows 7 e fui fazer a atualização dos drivers. Aproveitei e resolvi fazer a atualização da BIOS.

O computador liga, fica aproximadamente 7 segundos ligada e reinicia. Fica assim o tempo inteiro.

DH87RL - no video on dedicated graphics

$

Hello Community,

I have a somewhat strange problem with my DH87RL board. I'm using it in my pc for over a year now and the dedicated graphics adapter suddenly stopped working while I was browsing the web under Windows.

First of all I thought that my graphics adapter died (it's a ASUS Nvidia GeForce 750Ti OC) so I ordered a replacement, but the board still says that it can't find the adapter. The integrated graphics of the Intel i7 4770T works fine, the graphic cards (both) work fine in other PCs.

What I tried so far:

- Exchanging the graphics card with a new one - no success

- The trick to remove the bios battery for about 10hrs and reboot - did not work, no changes detected

- Setting the bios security pins to "reset", reboot and "normal" afterwards - just disabled the internal graphics too (without any BEEP sounds - just no signal on all ports - windows boots as normal in the background)

[removing the PCI-e card again brought back the signal from the internal graphics]

- Setting the bios settings to default in the bios gui. - nothing changed

Do you have a clue what I could test to get my card to work again?

Thank you for your ideas.

I have a DP55WB that doesn't like Radeon R9 270's.

During startup when the Windows logo should display I get a blank screen with just a "0_" in the bottom right corner.  The PC boots to Windows normally, but I can't access safe mode options because I can't see them.  I would like to get this working before Windows 10.

OS: Windows 7 x64
Mother Board: DP55WB latest BIOS

CPU: i5 750

GPU tried:     MSI R9 270 (doesn't work)

                    Gigabyte R9 270X (doesn't work)

                    Gigabyte GTX 260 (works fine)

There are a couple of similar issues posted around the place; but none showing as resolved or with the same hardware.  Right now I am thinking it is probably the graphics card bios that needs updating.  I have never updated a graphics card's bios before and am hesitant to try when the PC is still working.

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

DQ45CB Won't Install Latest Audio Driver from Intel

I have two DQ45CB motherboards which have both had complete fresh installs of Windows 7 Pro on them and both have the latest Bios.  Problem I have is there is no sound and the onboard sound doesn't seem to be installed. I've tried installing the Audio Driver from Intel and the installation says my hardware isn't supported.  Checked the Bios to make sure the onboard audio in enabled and that's fine.

Any ideas on how to get my audio working ??

MB DX79 SI: Is it possible to have a second graphics card in PCI-E-Slot "D" (last/5th Slot from Top)

Hello,

I've installed my new graphics card (GTX970)  - as recommended - in the first PCI-E-Slot (named "I" in the Product Guide). Because of space issues I've installed my old graphics card (GTX570) to the last PCI-E slot, named "D" in the Product Guide. Although the fans are rotating and the card is getting warm the old card is not recognized by the BIOS. Is the third PCI-E-Slot not suitable for a graphics card? Or is there another problem? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

the process igfxsrvc.exe is apparently part of the Intel Common User Interface and in use/started when I perform a right click on the desktop which causes an annoying delay of about 2 seconds while opening the context menu.

What is that process for?

Can I disable it or is there another way to avoid the delay?
