I have machines with Matrix Storage and "INTEL rapid storage technology" RAID support. My problem is that if a board or OS quits, I can't always take a RAID 1 set or one of a set to another machine and use it normally. I want several machines and RAID 1 sets that are interchangeable. If a board is described as implementing "INTEL Rapid Storage Technology", does that tell the whole story on portability of RAID 1 as pairs or as singles?

Can anyone provide a link to this driver?

Event Viewer: irstrtsv error: Unable to read LBA sector via passthru
I have a DZ77GA-70k MB running Win7-64 and RST Raid-1.
I was troubleshooting another problem and I see this irstrtsv error in the Event Viewer.
"Error: Unable to read LBA sector via passthru. : The request is not supported."
<See attached screen shot of the Event Viewer>
The first 6 irstrtsv errors after system startup are:
"Error: Unable to read LBA sector directly. : The system cannot find the file specified."
Then the balance of the errors have the passthru reference.
My system has been running for over a year (since Jan2013) and this error started on Jan.10, 2014 of this year.
I do not see a performance issue due to the error and the problem I was troubleshooting deals with Windows Backup: VSS, SPP errors when the backup fails to complete.
This irstrtsv error occurs when the system starts, there is a cluster of 6 errors in a few seconds, then repeats every 5 minutes with another cluster of 6 irstrtsv errors and continues until I shut it down.
A couple of days ago I upgraded the RST to the latest driver 12.8.0.1016 and that did not solve the problem.
I don't remember changing the system BIOS or RST configuration or loading any application in January or in or around 1/10/2014.
Any thoughts.
Thanks,
Rod...

Intermittent Internet Access with Motherboard DG41RQ
At times, can’t access internet for a few minutes. Other times longer periods like an hour.
During the same periods my wireless access laptop has full internet access using the same router thus the problem is the desktop system. Called Intel at 1-916-377-7000 - - they emailed me the latest XP driver. After the install, still having periods when internet can't be found. Running XP Pro system. Any ideas as to cause or fix?
Boot secrure setting ? DQ77MK
After installing DQ77MK board in a new case with new drives I want to install Centos 7 but on booting via dvd and choosing install I get the common error
a tpm error (7) occurred attempting to read a pcr value
I've been in the bios setting to BOOT and security and tried every setting. Sometime I get a security warning about the device and sometimes I get the same error as aover but I can't seem to hit the right combination to install the OS.
Does anyone have a screen shot or more advice they can give ? All I am doing is setting up a webserver for fun and this driving me crazy and the board won't accept F2 so I have keep using the switch inside the case. I think the bios is upto date.
Are separate Intel gigabit NIC cards a solution to AMT vulnerability?
Assuming I have one of the affected boards (from the link below) and a vPro processor, does AMT still function if I add an Intel NIC PCI card?
I believe AMT does not function through a Realtek NIC card, but it'd be nice to know if an Intel NIC card does the same thing.
Does the DG41RQ Motherboard support S4 (Hibernation) state?
The documentation for this motherboard would have you believe that it does support S4 and S5 states along with S1 and S3, but I cannot find a BIOS setting that shows S4. It has other BIOS settings for S5 (like wake on LAN) but I can't see how to set S5 either. When I call for Hibernation in Windows 10, it shuts down Windows but stays in a Standby state instead of fully powering off, until I hold the power button. On power-on it does appear to be coming up from Hibernation. No Win10 'sleep' settings (such as defeating 'Fast Boot') appear to make a difference.
Troubleshooting DP55KG That Shows No Sign Of Power
I had built this dp55kg-pc six year ago. Now, my pc failed to boot with no sign of power. Please help me to troubleshoot it to either a faulty cpu or a faulty motherboard.
1. The psu is good.
a. Disconnect all connections from psu.
b. Short Pin16(PS_ON#)/Pin17(Ground) of the 24Pin Power Connector with a paper clip.
c. Switch on psu.
d. psu fan starts to spin. +5V/+12V can be measured with a DMM.
2. A faulty cpu or a faulty dp55kg?
a. Take out CMOS Battery and measure 3V with a DMM. Look good. Then put it back.
b. Disconnect everything from the dp55kg, except for the 24Pin Power Connector/2x4Pin Power Connector/4Pin CPU Fan/Rear Case Fan.
c. Switch on psu.
d. Momentarily short the red Pin6/Pin8(power switch) of the front panel header on the motherboard with a screwdriver.
e. No beep. No fan. No Post Code LED. No Processor LED. No Voltage Regulator LED. No +5V/+12V.
f. Standby Power LED turns green. Back2BIOS Button is red.
Thanks Forum! Hope You Can Help!
Best Regards,

When will the DQ77KB be updated to fix the AMT vulnerability?
I have an Intel DQ77KB board. It is vulnerable to the critical AMT flaw. I use AMT so the mitigation guide is inadequate (as it requires disabling this functionality).
When will a BIOS update be available to fix this problem?

Real Time Clock DST issue ICH8
I have a very unusual issue with the Daylight Savings Time operation of the RTC in the ICH8.
On April 2, 2017 at 2 am, several boards using Intel chipset ICH8 jumped 1 hour ahead.
We could not reproduce in the lab at first, but after several attempts, it did occur, then kept occurring every time we ran past 2am on 4/2/2017.
We found there was a bug in our software that was always setting Bit 0 (DSE) of register B of the RTC.
Turning this bit off disables the DST shift on the units that it was occurring.
Now, the question is: why did it not happen on all units? Is there something else that would prevent DST when it is enabled?
And, why does it only do the "spring ahead" and not the "fall back" adjustment?
To get even weirder, the same bug that always enabled DST was also in an older product with intel 486 and MC146818. Even though DST was always enabled, it never did DST adjustments (not on 1st or last Sunday in April or any other date tested). Is there something else that disables DST even though Reg B of the 146818 enables it?
