Intel DQ77KB no video, no POST (2x2 beeps = video error?) after power failure

Hello guys,

 

Im having a setup with a intel dq77kb, 16 gb ram and an intel i7 processor. Worked like a charm for years untill a power failure in the house electricity this week. Everything went down and if I startup the computer I hear 2 times 2 beeps (with earplugs connected) which should be a video error. Since Im not having a external video card I guess the problem is the processor. I already stripped the board to the minimum (leaving only memory and processor). The same beeps remain leaving me with no post screen, no bios enter and no video output. Any idea what the problem is?

dx79 bios backup

Can you please forward the bios for this DX79SI motherboard to me.My motherboard also down, not giving display.I have confirmed it is Bios faulty.Tried the recovery option, didn't work.Please send it either in ".rom" or ".bin" format. USB Programmer CH341A, only supports the BIOS to be extracted in".rom" or ".bin" format & it is exactly 8MB

 

0460.bio is 8.19 mb

0494.bio is 8.19 mb

0650.bio is 9.69 mb

that the BIOS chip on our MB is 8 MB.

Problems updating the Management Engine firmware on DB75EN

My Intel Desktop Board DB75EN is affected by the AMT vulnerability.

 

I found a firmware update here:

Intel® Active Management Technology Escalation of Privilege Advisory...

 

However, when I try to install it, I encounter two problems.

 

First: I'm running Linux -- and the firmware update utility runs on Windows only. So is there also a utility available to update the FW under Linux?

 

As a workaround, I created a Windows 10 Recovery Drive (on a USB stick) and copied the update to that USB stick. I then booted the PC using that USB stick and tried to run the firmware update from within that Windows Recovery (WinPE) environment. I then got the following output:

Intel D955XBK, IMPI Interface and PCI Serial Port errors, plus IEEE 1394B no longer recognized. HELP!!!

Hello, n00b here... I have a custom built desktop that was handed down to me, and I took it from an XP to Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-bit. I can no longer use the IEEE 1394B connection to transfer mini-DV tape footage from a Sony camcorder into this computer using either Sony Vegas 10 or Window MovieMaker 6. I have the 1394B cable and just in case, ordered the 1394A cable to see if it is just the cable. I REALLY need to get this hooked up. Any help? Any Advice?

 

Not sure if this could be the cause, too, but I am getting the error messages for IPMI Interface and PCI Serial Port in the Other Devices are in Computer Management/Device Manager. I have tried to download and install the 1394B_XP_32_4.0.1.exe driver, which FINALLY installed, but made no difference in recognition for the jack, or the error messages. I am officially out of options, and am open to new possibilities if you have them.

 

Last question: Can older technology like a IEEE 1394B connection be installed in newer computers? Thanks for any help that any of you can send!

Looking For Help For a Motherboard Upgrade

I put together a desktop computer back in 2010 and am looking for some guidance on motherboard/processor for a new system.

 

I would prefer to go with Intel products and retain some of the components of my current system (case, power supply, etc.)

 

I would prefer to continue using the ATX form factor.

 

I use the computer strictly for home finance, spreadsheet, word processing, web browsing, email, photo storage and editing, ebook editing.  No games.

 

I'd like to have a good number of USB 3.0 ports and enough SATA sockets to handle at least three hard/SSD drives.

 

I would like to go with a new board and new processor so that I can be as certain as possible that I will be good for the next 5-7 years.  Probably a i7 processor.

 

Some help in choosing a new board and new processor would be great.

 

Any ideas?

DQ45CB Motherboard Bios Issues

Hi Guys,

 

I have a Intel DQ45CB board with a E9400 Core2Quad chip, the board powers on but no display, USB keyboard light off, Even when I try to boot into bios recovery, no display. Did the normal troubleshoot:

1. new CMOS battery

2. used a PCI-e GPU

3. new ATX12v ver2.2 PSU,

4. tried various 1GB DDR2 ram 

5. different case

7. working LCD screens & cables

Still no display....., is there a process of flashing the bios via USB with no display?

 

Any guidance will be appreciated

I currently have several computers with this motherboard running Windows 7 x64.  According to the Intel Product Guide this motherboard offers the option to boot using UEFI.
Here is the version no. of my BIOS:  
The machines are booting with UEFI without any issue and otherwise operate normally.
However, I am using Acronis 11.7 backup software and it is giving me warning messages about the backups and the restores.
I contacted Acronis and they told me that my motherboard was not UEFI compliant.  Their recommendation was to just ignore the warning messages.
 
I guest I could do that, but I really wonder if it is truly non-compliant.  Here are the error messages that I received:

I do know that the "50220" is the version of Acronis backup that I am using.  Otherwise, I don't know if these error codes and modules are BIOS modules for Acronis references.
I am still waiting on Acronis for more details, but I am not sure that will be provided.
 
I am hopeful that someone on this forum can identify these errors and tell me how to resolve them (if possible).
I have searched for UEFI testing tool, but haven't located any.
I am not sure if this is a BIOS issue or an UEFI boot volume issue.

Buenas. Poseo un PC cuya MOTHERBOARD es la Intel H81 modelo MSI-H81M-E33 (MS-7817). El equipo funcionó sin ningún problema hasta que me llegó la última actualización de W10, la Windows10 Creator. Al instalarse me desactivó el sistema de sonido 5.1 de Realtek High Definition Audio dejándomelo en sonido estereo. Y a pesar de que he intentado actualizar el controlador de todas las formas posibles que he podido encontrar en la red no logro solucionar mi problema. Los técnicos de Microsoft a través de los foros aducen que es el fabricante de la board quien debe actualizar los controladores. I have a very unusual issue with the Daylight Savings Time operation of the RTC in the ICH8.
On April 2, 2017 at 2 am, several boards using Intel chipset ICH8 jumped 1 hour ahead.
We could not reproduce in the lab at first, but after several attempts, it did occur, then kept occurring every time we ran past 2am on 4/2/2017.
We found there was a bug in our software that was always setting Bit 0 (DSE) of register B of the RTC.
Turning this bit off disables the DST shift on the units that it was occurring.
Now, the question is: why did it not happen on all units?  Is there something else that would prevent DST when it is enabled?
And, why does it only do the "spring ahead" and not the "fall back" adjustment?
 
To get even weirder, the same bug that always enabled DST was also in an older product with intel 486 and MC146818.  Even though DST was always enabled, it never did DST adjustments (not on 1st or last Sunday in April or any other date tested).  Is there something else that disables DST even though Reg B of the 146818 enables it?

Dg35ec motherboard.   
 
I bought new Two 2gb ram.  i already have Two 2gb ram installed.  
 
once install new Two 2gb ram, computer becomes too slow.
 
i have 4 slot. ( 2gb+ 2gb + 2gb + 2gb ) so it is max 8gb for this motherboard.
 
after i remove new Two 2gb ram .  
 
computer is faster. loading bios faster, login screen comes faster.
 
i upgraded in order to get good speed.  also i use Photoshop.  it needs 8 GB ram in order to work in 3d designs. rendering edit movies.
 
please some help me. hopefully waiting.
 
I also have the same problem. system is slow when i install graphic card.  after i remove it. computer is fast.
 
Asus GeForce GT 610 Silent Nvidia
 
 
C drive has 50gb free space. out of 110 gb.

I have a DQ67SW and i7-2600 with no cards installed and 64GB of memory.  When I turn on the power switch on the supply he standby-power LED
turns green but if I press the power switch it will not turn on .
I test with two diferents power suply
 
 
* CPU power connector check
* Motherboard power connector check
* Boot with single stick of RAM/RAM fully inserted check
* CPU installed correctly? (I assume it is, it was working properly before without any tampering)
* CPU fan plugged in check
* System speaker connected check

I am using the DZ77GA-70K boars and I7-2600K cpu together. I have installed the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility but the biggest part of it does not let me access it. Most of all the advanced tuning features are not available.
