DX79SI motherboard,

I recently upgraded my main drive on my pc. When I was in the BIOS, setting the new drive as the boot drive. The settings was saved as IDE, instead of AHCI(SP). Now my pc does not want to boot, I have even tried to reset the bios and all to see if that works and no avail. The only thing that comes up is the initial Splash screen. Is there a way to get back into the bios ? And yes I have removed the jumper and switched it around and even let it set for an hour or better with nothing coming up on the screen at all.

Turbo Boost Keeps Appearing on Boot

I bought a new PC and it came installed with Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 program.

Whenever Windows 10 boots to the desktop, a popup appears from this program showing, well.. whatever it shows, something about cores.

I want this to not happen.

I tried Uninstalling the app using Windows normal process, but the app does not uninstall.  Do I need it?  Can I get rid of it? If so how, or how to suppress the horrible popup that I cannot seem to stop.

Bit of a nightmare.

I plugged a new mSATA SSD (Apacer AP256GAS220B-1 256 GB) in the full size mSATA slot, but the BIOS doesn't detected it (mSATA Port [Not Installed]). The BIOS is the newest (0059). What can I do or is it impossible to use that mSATA SSD?

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

Unfortunately I am unable to connect my machine to the Internet to get the latest drivers updated "automatically"

The USB driver information I do have is:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27CC&SUBSYS_27CC8086&REV_02

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27CC&SUBSYS_27CC8086

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27CC&CC_0C0320

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27CC&CC_0C03

Is there new software for this device?  If so, please provide a link to the download.

UEFI Boot DQ67EP without keyboard?

$

I'm in the process of decomissioning, to cold standby, a Windows Home Server machine built around a DQ67EP motherboard. I was hoping to be able to just put the case in the corner, with a network connection, re-purpose the KVM, and boot it up if I need to get back into it. I never knew, until now, that it won't successfully UEFI boot without a keyboard. Plug the USB keyboard back in and it boots just fine. The Intel Tech Spec says:

3.6.3 Booting Without Attached Devices

For use in embedded applications, the BIOS has been designed so that after passing

the POST, the operating system loader is invoked even if the following devices are not

present:

• Video adapter

• Keyboard

• Mouse

But if I don't have a keyboard plugged in, it doesn't attempt (apparently) the UEFI, goes straight to the network boot agent, and just sits there trying to find a non-existent boot server.

I've tried variants of all the BIOS options that appear relevant, but either nothing changes or it just says it found nothing to boot.

Anybody have any thoughts how to get a DQ67EP to boot the same way without a keyboard as it does with one?

Issue with Extreme Tuning Utility - Tuning capability is gone

Hi,

I have i7-2600k with a DP67BG board. I have this system for several years and I have been always using Intel's extreme tuning utility to overclock my system successfully.

Recently I have formatted my PC and upgraded my windows to WIN10 x64. Now when installing the Tuning Utility I don't see any of the features that were present before. In fact, the tool offers almost no option to do any overclocking at all !!!

Here's an example:

Previously it looked like this:

As you can see I could overwrite every PLL multiplier and DDR configuration.

(The image is taken from Intels overclocking manual for this motherboard - http://downloadmirror.intel.com/19482/eng/DP67BG_PerfTuningGuide01.pdf )

Now it looks like this:

I can only change the boost voltage.

Please help me resolve this issue,

Evgy

BIOS Recovery Instructions Missing Download Link

The support document at the following location is missing the link to download the BIO file.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005630/boards-and-kits.html

It shows to be last reviewed by Intel on 09-Nov-2017.

When you open the document, you need to “expand all” to see the download location.

Here is a snapshot:

The blue download arrow and the “FC0010.BIO” do not have a link to download the file.

Would it be possible that someone would be able to fix the problem, so this file can be downloaded?

Thank you.

Hello,

the process igfxsrvc.exe is apparently part of the Intel Common User Interface and in use/started when I perform a right click on the desktop which causes an annoying delay of about 2 seconds while opening the context menu.

What is that process for?

Can I disable it or is there another way to avoid the delay?

SAS HDD into SATA II board

Will G41 chipset (SATA II) accept my SAS drive via a cable adapter or an SAS controller card? Some say cable, others say card. I am still reading and still not clear. Star-Tech part number: SAS729PW18 & I quote..."allows you to connect a SAS drive to SATA controller that supports SAS drives."  Is the "sata controller" built into my 'board, since my PC is already a SATA? Thank You. My lack of hardware knowledge belies my 3 score+5 residency here.

MoBo - Intel DP55WB

Any other info please ask... The problem I looked into was because my PC was giving the two beeps break two beeps issue... when I showed the pics to a computer service engineer, he claimed it can be fixed easily and said it just takes a day...

Is it true that it can be fixed... I don't want to be screwed for some petty cash, then later realizing it was all for nothing...

Method to Update MEI?

$

I need to update the Intel Management Engine Driver in my bios from 7.1.60.1193 to 8.1.0.1252.

I have run the Exe file for 1252 and it gave me the setup is complete screen and then rebooted.

I was expecting a completed screen after the reboot, but it never appeared.

I do have a listing in Programs & Features for IME 1252 with a install date of 9/5/2015.

When I use F2 on boot and look at the System Information, it still has MEI at 7.1.60.1193.

Since the download file for 1252 is an exe file, it would appear that executing this file is the proper way to do the install.

Obviously I haven't done it right, since the bios did not update!

Can someone provide me instruction on how to do this properly?

Intel ME update from 2017/11/23 bricked my ASUS MOBO

Hello,

one month ago I updated my B150M GAMING with i3-6100 and certified memory with Intel ME update version 2017/11/23 (https://www.asus.com/cz/Motherboards/B150M-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_BIOS/)

Everything succeeded, but my PC did not come up, after RMA they sent it back becuse "it works for them". I put everything back togherther and IT DOES NOT WORK. Technical on the phone was not able to help me.

Can someone help me out to identify the problem. I think that the new BIOS no longer supports my i3 CPU or something like that, assuming they don't lie to me. But even if I confirm it works with different CPU, I will need a BIOS downgrade and that can be done only by ASUS RMA.

Question: Can BIOS update brick a CPU?

ON DX58OG stuck at Back2BIOS button screen

Hi,

My Intel DX58OG is stuck in Back to Bios screen. I tried everything like flashing BIOS in recovery mode, removing CMOS etc. Then due to frustration I physically removed B2B button but it still shows B2B button is pressed. I can see few pins now, check this link https://imgur.com/a/mYrUN. Please can someone tell me which pin I can short  ? Or any other way to bypass this B2B function. Here Back2BIOS problem someone claim that cutting out a portion of I/O panel helped, could somebody confirm that?

Thanks in advance.
