Hello,

I am having difficulties with the Intel Verilog-A FASE model for SATA SI signal-integrity modeling. Does anybody know how to use the FASE model or convert it into an IBIS or HSPICE. What software will open this model ?

I am unable to locate any documentation on Verilog-A FASE  driver-buffer models, can someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Desktop Board DX79TO 2 USB 3.0 Rear ports keep giving problems even after installing the fix

Hi,

I recently build a Windows 8 Pro x64 PC Based on the Intel Desktop Board DX79TO, but even after installing the available fix for the 2 USB 3.0 ports at the rear of the PC i keep getting the same problems as before.

The ports work like they should, except that I keep getting the same problem at start-up everytime there is a device still attached to the port.

  • "System hangs on POST code 58 for one minute if any device is attached to USB 3.0 ports, and then continues the boot process."

Even though start-up from USB is placed UNDER those of the internal HDD's in the boot sequence.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or is someone familiar with the problem at all?

Would be nice if I shouldn't have to disconnect my 3TB Mybook 3.0 everytime I want to boot my pc...

Many Thanks

Sven

Hello,

When will the DZ87KL-70K arrive?

With kind regards,

Does DZ87KLT-75K have the new C2 stepping for Z87

$

My understanding is that early Z87 boards will have a flaw whereby USB 3.0 connectivity drops off in some sleep modes.

Do Intel's own 8-series boards - the DZ87KLT-75K specifically - also contain this flaw?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Windows 7 64bit freeze problem on DZ77RE-75K + 520SSD

I am using a new desktop with DZ77RE-75K board. OS is Windows 7 64bit Enterprise. I am annoyed by  endless freeze problem.

The detailed device list:

CPU: 3770K

DZ77RE-75K

240G Intel 520 series SSD + 2x Seagate Barracuda 2T

2x 8G 1600 memory

The freeze happens without any sign, when i browse the web or start an app. The mouse and keyboard lose response suddenly and i have to turn off the power manually and get an unexpected system power down. It seems that the problem happens more when i start uploading something to the web, but not every time. I also noticed everything on this new desktop works a bit slowly than other normal machines.

I have tried the following solutions as I know,

1. Rebuild the OS (many times)

2. Update all the drivers to the latest ones and the Bios is also updated

3. Check the connective bus of all the had disks

but it still freezes...

I use the default Bios setting. Should i change something in Bios?

This made me so crazy... Can somebody help me? Thanks in advance.

DX79TO Board Not Booting to USB or DVD

Here is my configuration:

DX79TO

BIOSSIX7910J.86A.559.2013.0305.2337

Processor i7-3820

Memory 1 Dimm 8gb 1.35 voltage

Video Gigabyte HD 6670

Here is what I am experiencing.  When I first boot the system I get the intel splash screen with the "F" options and in the bottom right corner there is a 5A.  If I leave the system alone, it goes to a BLACK SCREEN (Not Blank Screen) with a 0_ in the bottom right hand corner where the 5A was initially in the intel splash screen.  On the actual motherboard, I get 00 on the LED display.

Now what I have tried to do is Boot to a Bootable USB and/or Bootable DVD.

The steps I take are simply pressing F10 and wait for the boot menu.  I see my Hard Drive, DVD, USB and IBA GE Slot as options.  So what do I do, I simply select the USB or DVD.  What happens?  As soon as I press the enter key on my keyboard, a little 0 pops up in the bottom right hand corner of the monitor.  The system does not even attempt to process my command to boot to the media.  It's like it is predetermined that it will not boot no matter what I do.

I was told that 00 on the LED means the board is in normal boot state and that there may be a problem with the board.  I have no other tricks up my sleeve when it comes to making this board boot.  I have removed all unnecessary devices and tried the most basic boot to no luck.-38 Any suggestions?

DZ77GA-70K issues after bios update

$

Hi! I'm not very good at english so I hope you forgive me my grammar and punctuation.

---

The problem is:

MoBo starts automatically after  shutdown. There's no matter how it was shutdown, via OS or button. It looks like you push the power button, OS exits and power is off, two or three secs and it runs again. After, if press the button during post, it will shutdown, finally. If allow it to boot OS, the cycle repeats.

It all began after i decide to move from 066 to 064 bios version. I always use flash drive to update, but that time I deal it with .EB.EXE package. There were no errors during bios blocks update, all ok.

May be the fault was that I start configure bios right after first restart without booting to OS and facing "successfully updated your bios" splash window. After I finished setting system restart twice in a row and only after that I can get to boot screen.

What i tried:

Reset bios via jumper

Reset bios via battery removal

Update back to 066

Update like first time but proper

Doing so brings me no results.

The one thing I can suggest is that reboot script from bios update kit some way now runs infinite on my machine. This is isn't affects stability or so but quite annoying.

I'm not familiar with ITK, but hope it can be fixed without hardware reprogram of SPI.

Thanks in future advance.

Getting a DX79SR board to POST

$

I bought a DX79SR board and a 3930K during Thanksgiving, 2012.  The board had been used on an open air test bench for overclocking / bios-modding video cards.

This past weekend, the system died.  When the 24pin and 8pin cables were connected, the board would show power to both the power and reset button as well as LED "L" in the small line of LEDs near the power / reset buttons. After pressing the power button, the system (SSDs, HDDs, DVDs, fans, and Video card fans) would all spin up, but the system would not even begin to POST and the POST led would stay off.  I tried removing everything... all cables, USB devices, fans, memory... EVERYTHING.  The only things left were the 24 and 8 pin power cables, the re-seated CPU, and the CPU cooler with fresh TIM (first PK-1 then Swiftech TIM-MATE) applied.  I tried different combos with two PSUs, a 1200 watt GOLD and an 850 watt Bronze.  I tried single RAM sticks from different kits.  I tried hitting the BIOS button in the back.  I tried yanking and re-seating the BIOS battery.  None of it would cause the system to even begin to POST, not even error beeps for when there was no memory.

On 6/17/2013 I called Intel support, was given case# 8000-709-584, and paid for the expedited cross ship of a new board.

Got a refurbished DX79SR board from Intel today.  Got home.  Got a board that I hope is not non-functional.  My set-up process was as follows: 1) screwed the board into the stand-offs on my CaseLabs TH-10 test bench tray; 2) seated the the CPU; 3) applied TIM-MATE time; 4) added a Noctua cooler and connected a fan to the CPU fan pins; 5) populated DIMM 1 with an 8GB stick of Patriot Viper 2133 RAM; 6) placed a reference 7970 into the PCIe slot next to the battery; 7) plugged a Logitech keyboard into a USB 2 port; 8) added a pair of Samsung 840 pro SSDs to the SATA3 ports; 9) connected the 7970 to a monitor with a DVI cable; and 10) connected the 24 pin, 8pin ,and PCIe power cables to the 1200 watt PSU I had just re-tested on the backup X58 rig I am presently using.

When I flicked the power switch on the PSU the board IMMEDIATELY tried to boot.  There was no pressing the board's power, just instant go and this has never happened to me with any other board.  So the "new" board's POST led lit up, reached code 00, and then proceeded no further.  There were no error beeps or red leds.  Even after I pulled everything and tried with just a single 2GB G.Skill 1600 RAM stick or with no memory sticks there were no error beeps or red leds.  In case the 7970 might have been the problem, I also tried my spare GTX 580.  Again, the board goes straight to POST code 00 and just stops.  Even with no video card, USB, RAM, or SATA drives it stops at 00 with no beeps or red lights.

I tired with my 850 watt backup PSU and it would just hang at 00.  However, I did notice that ANY time the "new" board detects power flow, regardless of PSU, it fully turns on and tries to boot before hanging at 00.

What needs to happen for me to have a working Sandy-E system?!

D2700DC won't boot automatically from USB

$

Hello,

I use a D2700DC w/o HDD and want to boot from a USB memory stick. (I think that) all settings are made in the BIOS to boot from USB,

but on the screen the typical message "... no bootable device found ..." appears.

If I select the "boot options" menu with <F10> after a restart, I can choose to boot from USB, and it will work without a problem. But after a

restart, the system will not automatically boot from the USB memory stick.

In the BIOS the following settings are made:

Legacy USB support enabled

Boot from USB enabled

Boot first from USB enabled

All BIOS optimization disabled

Product Code: BOXD2700DC

Version #: G32420-602

S/N: BQDC21700234

Date of manufacture: 27 APR 12

What is the problem with the settings I've done? The BIOS version is the originally one (no update till now).

Thanks for your help,

Tobias

We are developing digital Signage Systems using the DH61AG. Since 2 Years we are build System with the
same HW.

On two of my test systems Installed the new Bios gen 105. (Update from old gen 45 to 99 transition,104,105).

Since that day the bios has problems to recognize and initialize the TV Tuner Card stable. some time it
works, sometimes the card is not detected and not visible in the Bios. it’s a try and error game with power on / off

Both system where in the lab for over 1 year without any problem detecting the PCI-E Tuner Card (heavy daily use)we didn’t touch the HW from

the system for over one year, only the bios update was done. since that, I observe on both system the same behavior.

it is not the Tuner HW Card, its definably some changes in the Bios.

Unfortunately  it’s not possible to downgrade to 45 Bios Version, so the system are broken at the moment.

Does any one else run into this issue ?

Intel please help and fix it in the next Bios.  (106 ?)

Thx.

DH87MC, 7.81 GB of RAM usable out of 8 GB

Hello!

I have a total of 8 GB RAM installed and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit reports 7.81 GB usable in Control Panel, System.

In the same system I also have Debian Linux installed and I am seeing the same amount of RAM in htop.

Since I have disabled the integrated graphics of the CPU (in the BIOS settings), I was wondering what is this 0.2 GB of RAM reserved for. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Hi to all,

I´ve bought the new DZ87KLT-75K board and I´m looking for a Lucid Virtu software to switch from the Intel GPU to a discrete GPU automatically, but there is nothing free manufacturer version to download at the support area. The version of my DZ77RE-75K board told me that I have no Intel Motherboard as I have tested a installation. Now I´am using a 30-days-trial directly downloaded from lucidlogix.com and it runs fine, but I´m still waiting for a free solution. When  I can download a free version from Intel download area?

Thx for feedback

Intel Desktop board DH87MC help required...

Dear Members,

Hope you all are doing well. I m new to this forum so i dont know very well if the question i m putting in front relates here or not. But i need a little help and couldn't find anywhere else so here it goes.

I am in phase of buying a new PC for myself (a mid level gaming build) and planning to go for an i5 4670K. However, the only motherboard available in my country at the moment is the intel DH87MC which is full ATX (a part of my primary requirement).

My question is that is this board a good to go? I m not in over-clocking and all but I will be using a discrete GPU. Also, I heard about a usb 3.0 bug in haswell boards lately in the news. will i encounter the bug in this board or has it been sorted out? I seek a general review of the board from the members. thats all.

Thank you all in anticipation.

Regards,

HKhan
