DX580G Issue: Need Help

DX580G Problem: Have been using my DX580G MB for months, but the monitor went blank last night while using the desktop.  This morning, swapped monitors, then graphics adapters, but no change.   Pulled off the access door on the desktop, and found I am not getting any speaker beeps, front panel LED (blinking or otherwise), or any Port 80h POST codes.  I have removed the graphics adapter, and all DRAM.  No change.   Power supply seems OK, as the graphics adapter, HDDs, system and CPU fans, etc. power up.  The MB reset and power switches light.  Any troubleshooting help?

Thanks,

Pat

Have updated all drivers/bios. I was getting Driver PCI returned invalid ID for a child device (FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF00) in event logs when windows would Hang. Basically anything video intense causes Window to lock I am forced to hard restart. I will start up a game from steam for the first time pretty much guarantee I will lock up within 20 seconds. Second time I load up the game I can play around 2-3min then lock up. Load it up again and I can play 10-15 min then Lock. I have USB 3.0 disabled in BIOS which fixed my child device problem but now the computer just locks up and I look in the event logs and no errors around the time of the lock up. I have minidumps enabled and I am not seeing any minidumps being made.  Just installed windows last night so pretty clean system. Running the last nvidia drivers. any suggestion would help! I am totally stumped on where to go. maybe because my consumer IR is disabled in BIOS? and has no drivers? Should I RMA the board? Also checked all my Temps everything looks good. Ran memtest86+ for 4 hrs no errors at all.

Please Help!!!

error code 27 on dp67bg

HI i've had an intel dp67bg for several months now running kingston 1333 ram in the 2 blue dimm slots.

so my problem is the second blue dimm socket, if i use either of my ram sticks in that socket i get error code 27, if i use 1 in the first blue dimm socket i get no error and either of the black dimm sockets i get no error either.

i tested all my ram and some additional ram before putting it back in, i tested on a secondary machine for clarification on it's state and no errors were reported.

i tried it with brand new ram straight out of a packet and still the same code comes up on the second blue dimm socket.

right now i have my computer running with the two black sockets populated and no issues at all but i am concerned by that single socket not working as intended.

i completly stripped my computer down to nothing and made sure there was no metalic objects in contact with the motherboard.

i've reseated the ram countless times now, i've used a compressed air to blow out any foreign objects if any and still the problem is there.

i've not changed any hardware or made any changes recently either the problem literraly just happened when i came home from work and turned on my pc.

D945GSEJT - WOL in S5 mode

Hi,

I have a D945GSEJT board and I'm trying to turn on the computer (S5 mode) via WOL, but it's not working. I've enable all necessary options in BIOS and Windows.

I can wake my PC from standby, but when it's turn off, it's not working. Does the LAN chip support WOL from S5 mode?

If not, accroding to the manual it should work if I install a network card on the PCI socket, shouldn't it?

Thanks.

BIOS memory error on DQ77KB

Hello,

I have a DQ77KB mother board with intel i3 3220T processor.

I have update the BIOS to v52. After the upgrade, I have reboot, check the BIOS and reboot again.

Now, I have a black screen with 3 long beeps (memory error) and impossible to boot.

The memory is OK, I have test it with an other safe memory module and I have the same problem.

I can't go in the BIOS setup, the screen is black before. I have try to reinstall BIOS this "F7", and also to restore it with the BIOS jumper.

I have also try to "clean" the BIOS : unplug all cable, remove the BIOS battery, wait 30 minutes. The problem still the same.

I think the BIOS is corrupted but I don't know how to restore a clean BIOS. If you have any idea...

Best regard,

Stéphane

DZ87KLT-75K Super I/O overheating

Hello and thanks in advance for any help that is offered.

I have recently spent a considerably large amount of funds to build a

DZ87klt-75k w/

i7 4770k processor

series 520 240gb ssd (OS)

Hitachi 1TB HD (data)

G-skill 32g 2800 ram (from memory test list)

Gigabyte 7950 HD graphics card

Rosewill lightning 1300w psu*

Thermaltake VL800 series V3 black chassis

(4) 140mm 2400rpm exhaust fans (includes psu exhaust)

(2) 140mm 2400rpm intake fans

(1) side chassis free air inlet

(2) peripheral (dvd/cd) open slot free air inlet

*yes this is not a "approved" psu and I have the power off restart issue..... whatever... not my biggest issue.

The issue I am having that the Super I/O chipset "Z87" is giving constant and repeated overheating warnings after only minutes of game play. I have done a lot of research on this and for some reason I can find no data about it. I KNOW I am not special.....

Things I have noticed in my researching include that the primary pci x16 slot for graphics centers the higher level cards directly over the Si/o heat sink, is this intentional to monitor graphics temps by the MB? Sure does not make sense due to the heat generation of high level graphics.

p.s. the graphics card is having zero overheating issues

The next thing I noticed was that the "aftermarket" dz87 vendors are replacing the z87 heat sink (and others) with much more robust and even fan cooled options. This indicates to me that the overheat issue on this aspect has actually been noted and that solutions are being engineered for their boards.

The last thing I found, which brought me here for help, is that there seems to be no fix for this for those of us that have purchased this board as it was originally designed (from Intel ). Please consider I have researched this, these "after market" vendors also sell not "upgrade" option for individual sale to supplement what seems to me to be an oversight in design.

Is there any advice that can be offered for this, I would hope others may find it useful as well? Again, thank you for any help that can be offered, my apologies if this is a difficult one to answer.

DZ87KLT-75K Fan Issue

My SSD is now a Intel 520 Series with 240 GB optimized with the Intel SSD Toolbox and I´ve installed the Microsoft Updates last week. After that round about fewer than a half of my shutdowns will result in a restart. Until now I can´t tell that the error comes out from the Board, BIOS, Chipset, CPU, OS or more as one together.

But I have found a new bug. I´ve configured my aux fan as a inlet fan (Silverstone SST-FN181-B). If I have played round about a half hour Battlefield 3 the Intel Desktop Utility have forgotten the aux fan and his inlet job completly and appears with 0 RPM, but he turns arround. At the same time the CPU outlet fan of the Intel RTS2011LC (12 cm and configured as standard CPU fan at the BIOS) blows out with over 1000 RPM and sounds really loud. My front fan is also a inlet fan of the same type like the aux fan, but he runs on normally. The temperature stays  in normal range at the maximum load arround of 50° Celsius. After a restart my aux fan is back at the Intel Desktop Utility with normal RPM arround 450 like the front fan and the CPU fan is at 800 RPM normal too.

DH61AG does not boot after BIOS update

I had version 43 and updated to 99.  I didn't see any errors during the flashing.  Upon rebooting I got the press 'F' numbers screen but it will not get past that.  All the 'F' keys do perform the action but when it comes to booting to a device it just hangs.  BIOS upgrade or recovery fails.  During BIOS recovery I just get a blank screen.  I waited over 30 minutes and nothing happens so I shutdown, reconfigure BIOS jumper to normal and powered back on to the same state.

I think my board needs replacing!

DZ87KL-75K A6 40 on LED Display = No Primary NIC

$

I am using the DZ87KL-75K with the 0344 BIOS.  The primary NIC connection will not work and I have on the LED display  A6 and 40

If I go into the BIOS setup and make no changes at all and just F10 and exit and save the A6 and 40 on the LED display is fine and shows 00 01 and the primary NIC connection works.  If I do a Windows restart (or a cold boot) then the same problem comes back.  Even if I disable un-used items (such as IEEE, Thunderbolt, PS2) the same issue happens

The secondary NIC connection is working fine all the time.

What does the A6 40 on the LED display indicate?  Intel Tech support says it is 'Reserved for Future use'.

DZ87KL-75K USB 3.0 C1 Stepping Issue - No Boot Device on Power-up

Issues with DZ87KL-75K board (C1 version)  / i7-4770K CPU on cold start receiving boot error "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Import Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"

Q.  Could this be the C1 stepping "USB 3.0 sleep" issue presenting itself after a cold start?

Notes on recreating issue:

  • Issue presented itself this past month when I restored my iPhone 5 (iOS 7 beta 5) running Windows 7 connected via front panel USB 3.0.  Blue screen error!  Upon restart, no boot device error above.
  • I figured out how to fix the problem (see below), then tried to restore my iPhone again.  Same issue, same point of restore.  OK, so no iPhone restore.  Check!   Figured it was an iOS 7 beta issue. (still could be or it could be an inherent flaw which will be a massive issue when the OS goes GA next month)
  • Yesterday I got the error after 1) unplugging a Garmin USB ANT Stick from a powered (yellow) port  to a non-powered back port, and at the same time, plugged my iPhone 5 iOS 7 beta 6 phone into the powered port. I noticed, but don't remember, that the OS noticed the devices and gave me messages, but I didn't pay attention to them, however it clearly knew something was different.  Note, iOS 7 has a new security feature whereby when it connects to a computer, it asks if you want to "Trust the currently connect computer?".  Could this be a trigger?
  • Further plugging and unplugging of the iPhone have not recreated the issue.

My Fix and the ONLY one that works for me:

  • Unplug and replug all USB 3.0 connected devices on mobo (2 WD WD4001FAEX 4TB HDD, 1 Samsung CD/DVD).  Upon restart, I had to have my OS install CD in the drive (this really confuses me but haven't tested to certainty that it's required).  Note, I boot to an mSATA Intel 525 SSDMCEAC240B301.
  • I did not reattach the Garmin ANT USB and the iPhone until I had a couple clean restarts.
  • 24 hours later, no issues and everything's plugged in and working.

I'm considering asking for a new mobo from Newegg or simply selling this one, version G74721-304 (on box), for the new one with C2 stepping, version G74721-305.  Reference PCN 112425-00 re: the C1 to C2 stepping change.
