Dear Intel support,
I'd like to report an error on the following diagram:
Point 28 which represents the CIR headers is partially correct. The 'top' header should be the incoming port for IR.
My OCD made me create this post.

Anyone know why this board has been discontinued?
It's only been on the market a few months so I'm curious as to why it is already discontinued. I installed this board in a production facility & I'm worried this may come back to bite me.
Thanks,
Bill
Hi Everyone
I am not having any success in setting up the raid on this motherboard with win 7 64 bit
I have tried the bios "sata raid/ahci mode" in both raid and AHCI mode
I have gone into the setup with the crtl-I and setup the raid allocated all 5 x 500mb drives to raid 5,
It shows the drives all set to member disk and raid total size 1.8Tb
I then run the windows install
I have tried a few drivers, each time in the install process it identifies the driver as the ich10r raid
Then spends a min or so with activity on the progress bar before giving the message "No new devices could be found"
Am I doing something wrong in the process or is there a better set of device drivers for this motherboard with win 7
Thanks
Craig

HI i've had an intel dp67bg for several months now running kingston 1333 ram in the 2 blue dimm slots.
so my problem is the second blue dimm socket, if i use either of my ram sticks in that socket i get error code 27, if i use 1 in the first blue dimm socket i get no error and either of the black dimm sockets i get no error either.
i tested all my ram and some additional ram before putting it back in, i tested on a secondary machine for clarification on it's state and no errors were reported.
i tried it with brand new ram straight out of a packet and still the same code comes up on the second blue dimm socket.
right now i have my computer running with the two black sockets populated and no issues at all but i am concerned by that single socket not working as intended.
i completly stripped my computer down to nothing and made sure there was no metalic objects in contact with the motherboard.
i've reseated the ram countless times now, i've used a compressed air to blow out any foreign objects if any and still the problem is there.
i've not changed any hardware or made any changes recently either the problem literraly just happened when i came home from work and turned on my pc.
Hello, I have a problem here. This morning, i was restarting my computer and suddenly find out one of my raid 0 hard disk status is displayed as error occurred. the ironic is, my PC is still running like there was no problem. is there anything i should do to make the error occurred back to member disk? any help would be great. thanks.
Hi all,
I'm a longtime Linux user (10 years on Gentoo next month), and I recently bought the DZ77SL-50K to replace an Asus board whose S-ATA controller died.
I've tried loading the sound system through the snd-hda-intel driver, but it fails to detect the motherboard's chipset. Instead it only sees the HDMI output from my graphics card as an SPDIF output. And obviously that's not the output I'd like to use.
If anyone has any clue what I should look for or which driver to use, I'd appreciate it!
Thanks,
Jon
P.S: I can see the chipset with lspci, and dmesg, but alsamixer doesn't detect it at all. But lspci -v displays the snd-hda-intel driver for it. It just doesn't work in the meantime.
My SSD is now a Intel 520 Series with 240 GB optimized with the Intel SSD Toolbox and I´ve installed the Microsoft Updates last week. After that round about fewer than a half of my shutdowns will result in a restart. Until now I can´t tell that the error comes out from the Board, BIOS, Chipset, CPU, OS or more as one together.
But I have found a new bug. I´ve configured my aux fan as a inlet fan (Silverstone SST-FN181-B). If I have played round about a half hour Battlefield 3 the Intel Desktop Utility have forgotten the aux fan and his inlet job completly and appears with 0 RPM, but he turns arround. At the same time the CPU outlet fan of the Intel RTS2011LC (12 cm and configured as standard CPU fan at the BIOS) blows out with over 1000 RPM and sounds really loud. My front fan is also a inlet fan of the same type like the aux fan, but he runs on normally. The temperature stays in normal range at the maximum load arround of 50° Celsius. After a restart my aux fan is back at the Intel Desktop Utility with normal RPM arround 450 like the front fan and the CPU fan is at 800 RPM normal too.
I have an been running a DH87MC motherboard with double-sided Kingston KVR16N11H/4 (x4) RAM. With all 4 sticks (16GB), the system BSODs daily. If I remove 2 of the sticks, leaving 8GB, the system is stable.
I tried changing to single sided DIMMs / KVR16N11S8H/4 (x4) and the systems are stable with 16GB of RAM.
This is repeatable as I have tried it with two separate systems. I have also tried multiple sets of RAM with the same results.
I am running the most recent BIOS (47).
Any thoughts on why this might be happening?
Bug, easily reproducable, I updated to latest released BIOS version 0052 7/8/2013, cpu is Xeon E3 1265Lv2
-Install two 8GB DDR3 1.5V so-dimms which otherwise work fine
-Install Intel Ethernet I350-T4
Dimm channel B will not be detected at all
All memory is detected and works fine if you either:
-Remove NIC
or
-Replace with Pro 1000 PT Quad (82571GB)
On a side note, not that anyone seemed to care since I posted it last year, but this board will not boot at all with an intel Gigabit VT Quad (82575/6) as the bios hangs completely.
So this now makes two intel NICs for me that are not compatible with an intel board but work on everything else I have...stay classy!
Good day Gentlemen,
I'm trying to upgrade my Windows 7 x64 Home Premium to Windows 8 Pro. When I used the Assistance Upgrade, it stated that I have to uninstall Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver as will as some pages from your support website.
I searched about this driver and I noticed that so many people have a problem with their USB 3.0 ports after upgrading to Windows 8 ! As they described, when they uninstalled Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver and upgraded to Windows 8, they lost the file transferring speed of USB 3.0 ports and it starts functioning as the normal USB 2.0 ports !
My question is .. If I uninstall Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver, Am I going to lose the original file transferring speed of my USB 3.0 ports ?
Your support is highly appreciated .

Hi,
got a new DH77DF and it refuses to recognize 2 of 3 PCIe TV DVB-S2 card in its PCIe slot.
This cards even don't show in the bios where you can check which slot is populated. This board is a Mini-ITX so i have only one slot to try.
I tried:
- TBS DVB-S2 6922 -> NOT recognized in PCIe slot
- TEVII DVB-S2 S470 -> NOT recognized in PCIe slot
- DVBSky DVB-S2 S950 -> recognized in PCIe slot
My intention was to get the TBS card running, i only tried the other for testing.
I have several other boards from Asus were ALL cards are recognized well.
I am quite disapointed by Intel again, cause it is my second time i got a Intel board and their boards are mainly causeing trouble.
Of course i could buy another board, but the DH77DF is the only S1155 board on the market with a HTPC header for CEC devices.
I also tried to upgrade to latest bios, but this has the bad effect that linux isn't booting anymore, at least in UEFI mode (which was no problem with the original first bios version). Anyway the bios upgrade didn't change the fact that the TBS DVB card wasn't recognized.
Any idea?
I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 on DX58SO with Intel Rapid Storage Technology, version 12.5.0.1066, three Disk RAID 5. I had a disk, Seagate Barracuda ST3500320AS 500GB, fail and got an indication from the RST icon in the notification area. I replaced the disk and the SATA Array is currently rebuilding and about 60% complete. However, when I open the Intel Rapid Storage Technology program, I see four disks, three show status as normal and one phantom disk, status missing, port location: unknown. It also shows the serial number of the old disk with a colon and zero added, but nothing else. I'm hoping that this phantom disk will disappear when the SATA Array finishes rebuilding, but I don't get the impression that it will. Also, on the Status tab, of the RST program, the current status indicates the system is reporting one or more events, and data may be at risk. It then indicates to refer to the details below for more information. There are two events indicated. The first is that the SATA Array 0000 is rebuilding and the second is "Unknown disk on Controller 255, Port Unknown: Missing.
Will this missing phantom disk issue resolve when the system finishes rebuilding the SATA Array after replacing the failed disk?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Dear all,
I recently bought a Terratec DVB-T-USB-Stick which caused all tv software to freeze. I had it then replaced with a more expensive Hauppauge Stick, but the problem persists. The stick is beeing recognized by the system, drivers are installed correctly and up to date. But as soon as any tv software wants to access the stick, the program freezes and the process cannot even be killed with the task manager, only disconnecting the stick closes the program. I tried about 5 different tv softwares, all of them have the same issue. BIOS, chip set, drivers, everything runs on latest versions and is up to date. I learned that it might have to do with the power supply of the USB ports. My PSU is brand new and puts out 800 W. My graphic adapter is GTX660, I run Windows 8 Pro 32 Bit. Anyone any idea how to solve this problem? Thank you.
Hello,
I've created a photography workstation with the following:
-DQ77KB
-i7-3770S
-NEC MultiSync PA241W
For graphics, I'm using the integrated HD Graphics 4000 in the CPU, and am using a Display Port cable. Everything claims to support deep color, but the display drivers only indicate True Color is available (24-bit color depth). How can I enable deep color with HD Graphics 4000?
The following indicates that deep color is supported by HD Graphics 4000:
http://software.intel.com/en-us/node/182971
NEC Monitor information specifying deep color support with Display Port connection:
[http://www.necdisplay.com/documents/ColorBrochures/PA241W.271W.301W_SpecBrochure.pdf | http://www.necdisplay.com/documents/ColorBrochures/PA241W.271W.301W_SpecBrochure.pdf]
I am using Windows 8 Pro x64 with 8GB RAM, and have specified in the BIOS to use 1 GB RAM as graphics memory. I do have all the latest graphics drivers and firmware.
Thanks,
-Ryan
Can anyone tell me when the Intel DQ77KB will be stocked again?
That's it!
I installed everything without problems, all drivers form all devices (including even Microsoft mouse & keyboard and Samsung monitor which aren't really needed) yet i still have this message in Windows 7 x64.
The only "outside" devices are the USB audio card RME Fireface UC, which is installed perfectly and the Nvidia GTX 760 video card which is also perfectly installed.
I de-activated the integrated graphics (set in "enable if PCIe not present" in BIOS) and also the Audio device which i don't need as i use the RME USB device. Also Consumer Infrared is de-activated by BIOS.
Basically i have no more physical devices to install, yet i see this message in the Windows device's administrator under "Other Devices--> Unknown Device"
Must be something from the motherboard that has not been installed with the provided drivers.
I downloaded and installed all the lastests versions of each Motherboard driver and BIOS, so i don' know what it could be...
Any thoughts?
Hi!

I have Windows 8 running on a DH77EB motherboard. I haven't been having issues with it until the last two weeks or so. I have lost power at my home due to storms several times in the past few weeks and thought at first that this was what was causing my computer to fail to wake from sleep. I would find my computer with the HDD LED solid and it would not respond until I pressed the reset button.
I tried to test the system by manually entering sleep mode. The fans kept running and the HDD LED once again became solid. I then updated the BIOS from 100 to 101. I don't think that had anything to do with my issue, but after the update, I noticed that my computer was then able to enter sleep mode, but would wake up on its own within a few seconds. I ran the command "powercfg -lastwake" and found that my network adapter is what woke the computer. From device manager, I disabled the option for the network adapter to wake from sleep and tested the computer again. It woke immediately again. This time, the -lastwake command showed that the USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller was responsible for waking the computer. From device manager, there is not a Power tab from the properties for the USB3.0 host controller. When I run the wake_armed device query, it only shows my mouse and keyboard as wake armed.
Can someone help me to keep the USB 3.0 host controller from waking my computer from sleep?
I want to enquire whether the desktop board spare components, specially the Intel chipset one of the two IC i.e. ICH4 chip - FW82801DB are available for D845GVAD2 board? If this IC on MB has damaged then will the Intel service centre be able to replace it with a new chip?
