DP67BG no boot - POST code 1E

$
0
0

CPU: Core i5-3570

Video: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 2GB

RAM: Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600

PSU: Raidmax RX-530SS

When I hit the power button, the board lights up, the fans all spin, the LCD on the board shows code 1E (or perhaps IE). Monitor shows No Signal. There are no beeps from the on-board speaker. After about 10 seconds, the system spontaneously restarts. And it keeps going in a continuous loop.

I have tried a different monitor and different video card. No change.

I have tried with various other components unplugged. No change.

I tried moving jumper J1 to pins 2-3 to boot in BIOS config mode. This made a small change; the LCD on the board shows code 31 (which it's supposed to in BIOS config mode), and the system no longer spontaneously restarts. But there is still no signal to the monitor, and there are no beeps from the on-board speaker.

I'm now looking at the possibility of a bad CPU, or an incompatible CPU. Of course, I don;t have any spares lying around to swap out.

I'm at my wit's end! Someone please give me a clue here, before I go completely bonkers.

DH61AG not detecting mini pcie cards after bios update

Hello there

I recently purchased a DH61AG motherboard. I chose it mainly because of the 2 mini pcie slots on the board. It has an I3 3225 cpu and 8g of ram. I believe it was on bios revision 44 when I bought it. The mini pcie slots are populated with an intel 6235 wifi card and an avermedia a317 tv tuner card. All was working well until I upgraded to the A106 bios. At this point my tuner card was no longer detected. Thinking that the problem was with the tuner card I purchased a new one, Habey hb-mat5070. When I installed this card it also was not detected. I installed both tuners in an older laptop I have and both cards were detected and worked fine. This leads me to believe that (A) the bios has caused a problem with my board, (B) defective board. I have seen other posts about the A106 bios messing up the pcie slot so I guess I am probably in the same boat. Is there any workaround to downgrade the bios back to the 44 revision. Can we expect a fix to this anytime soon, or should I just RMA the board to get a replacement with a downgraded bios. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanx

Craig

DH61AG | new gen. Bios 105 breaks TV Card recognise

We are developing digital Signage Systems using the DH61AG. Since 2 Years we are build System with the
same HW.

On two of my test systems Installed the new Bios gen 105. (Update from old gen 45 to 99 transition,104,105).

Since that day the bios has problems to recognize and initialize the TV Tuner Card stable. some time it
works, sometimes the card is not detected and not visible in the Bios. it’s a try and error game with power on / off

Both system where in the lab for over 1 year without any problem detecting the PCI-E Tuner Card (heavy daily use)we didn’t touch the HW from

the system for over one year, only the bios update was done. since that, I observe on both system the same behavior.

it is not the Tuner HW Card, its definably some changes in the Bios.

Unfortunately  it’s not possible to downgrade to 45 Bios Version, so the system are broken at the moment.

Does any one else run into this issue ?

Intel please help and fix it in the next Bios.  (106 ?)

Thx.

Hi I am after the 2x9 pin plug and terminals for the surround sound port as this plug is smaller than your standard header plugs I can not seem to be able to find any.

I am trying to make a lead to go to an internal multichannel amplifer.

Any suggestions as to where these can be purchased would be greatful.

Overheating problems with DX58OG

Hello,

I've recently build two systems with DX58OG and i7-980X processors but I'm running into serious overheating problems. While the CPU is cold as the ice princess, the chipset is gravely overheating. Althought the fan from CPU heatsink is blowing air over chipset's heatsink, that doesn't help much. Even leaving system normally running in win7 environment, the chipset gets overheated not to mention running any application (and I believe that noone spends money for 980x to be wathching screensavers). From the beginning they are additional 120mm fans installed in the case (Chieftec Aegis) but although the air is blowing over heatsink it obviously isn't enough. I'm using normal PC vents, not ones with air flow that will suffice in cooling down the house. But as I said, I can't do anything with the system as the chipset gets to warm. The only solution so far is, to disable automatic controlling of CPUs fan and keep it running at full sped, but in that case, I need ear mufflers. So now, I'm a bit confused. I never before had such problems with Intel boards and I just don't know if the boards are faulty or is this a major drawback in Intel's engineering ? I've already upgraded BIOS and defaulted the BIOS settings, but to no help. Does anybody else have problems with mention motherboard or am I singled out in this universe ?

Problems with UEFI Boot on DB75EN (BIOS version 0045)

I am a system builder working with some new DB75EN boards.

I'm installing Windows 8 Pro 64-bit on these boards.

Specs as follows:

     Board: DB75EN AAG39650-303

     BIOS: ENB7510H.86A.0045.2013.0307.1509

     Processor: i5-3570K

Memory: 8GB Kingston Extreme in slot DIMM1 at 1600MHz (default)

No additional PCI / PCIe devices

     Hard Drive: SanDisk SDSSDH2128G

I install Windows 8 Pro 64-bit with Motherboard in UEFI mode (with Legacy disabled).

Windows installs and reboots automatically.

Motherboard repeated reboots forever during post. I have Secure Erased the SSD twice and reinstalled, and set motherboard to defaults except disabling Legacy Boot.

Every time the motherboard repeatedly reboots when UEFI is on and Legacy is off.

I have installed many other INTEL motherboards with Windows 8 Pro 64-bit and UEFI mode with legacy off without issues.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Intel DG45ID HDMI (dual video display)

Hi everyone. Intel DG45ID motherboard supports dual video out, my question is.......

Is it possible to use a HDMI to RCA (link: Amazon.com: MINI HDMI to 3RCA CVBS Composite Video AV Converter Adapter Supporting PAL/NTSC for TV PS3 VHS VCR DVD: Electronics) and connect it to the HDMI port on DG45ID. Basically trying to dual output to the standard DVI port as well as the HDMI port. Will this work? Basically I am trying to connect a CRT TV to this motherboard.......Anything that is displayed on the DVI LCD monitor should also be displayed on the TV.......

Will this work, or will the HDMI port not detect the Analog CRT TV and not work? Please advise. I'am planning on buying a GT630 Graphics card, and if the HDMI2AVI converter is successful, deploy the same on the GT630 card. And if this configuration will work, will there be a delay??

Is it possible to relay 3D games this way to the CRT TV??

And in the product documentation it says "DDC2B compliant interface with Advanced Digital Display 2 card or Media Expansion Card (ADD2/MEC), support for TV-out/TV-in and DVI digital display connections"......so does that mean a HDMI to 3RCA cable is sufficient (no need for a converter) since it supports TV-out??

Thanks everyone!

Hi. My DH55HC desktop board hangs when I use the video output for around two hours, for example: I have got a digital TV card and after watching TV for 2 or 3 hours all the system hangs. If I begin recording, then minimize the window and leave the machine alone it will keep recording until I stop it.

DQ77MK - Scan Lines On Boot (HD4000 Linux)

Hi,

Randomly it seems, on boot, my left monitor (top dvi port) will show moving scanline artifacts and will remain until the next reboot or display mode setting. Please see the following image: http://i.imgur.com/aypX9cL.jpg. I have two identical computers built on this motherboard using different monitors, and they both exhibit this same behaviour regardless of kernel or distribution (the example image was stock ubuntu 13.04). I have not been able to find any bug reports, leading me to believe this is not a widespread HD4000 driver issue. Is this a known bug with this motherboard?

Intel DQ77KB board eDP support in BIOS

$

Hello

I'm trying to use the eDP port of DQ77KB, to connect it internally to a standard 20 pin DP receiver.

Question 1:

first of all, in BIOS settings, I cannot enable the eDP as the flat panel interface. in video settings-> IGD flat panel settings, I can see only  "LVDS" and "Disable" options.  how can I enable the eDP interface?

Question 2:

I did not find any eDP to DP cable, so I'm planning to make one, using the  ACES88441 connector and a custom cable to connect the 4 digital Lanes to my DP receiver.  Do you have any recommendation that this pin-out is correct and eDP and DP are compatible?

DX79SR Fails Post at Video Init

$

I seem to be encountering a very strange issue as of late.

I just purchased parts for a new PC, which included (among other things) an Intel DX79SR motherboard and a pair of nVidia GeForce 660 Ti video cards. Everything went swimmingly, aside from one very strange issue: the motherboard would constantly beep during POST during video init, indicating that it found no video devices. I tried each card individually with the same results, but when I used an old GeForce 460, it found it and booted normally.

I then tried the 660 Ti cards in a few different desktops. Each one found the cards and booted without issue. To add to the confusion, once I used a 660 Ti alongside the 460 in the original DX79SR PC, there were no POST errors. Windows was able to pick up the 660 Ti, install the drivers for it, and use it like any other video adapter. Additionally, once those drivers were installed, I was able to install both 660 Ti cards, remove the 460, let it boot (as it would continue after throwing the video error in POST), and after a moment, Windows appeared on the screen.

So I have a working solution. The problem is since the cards don't seem to be detected as usable video devices during POST, I can't actually do anything in the BIOS without plugging in a different video card. This will be problematic in the future if I ever need to make any changes in the BIOS. Is there any way to get these cards working properly, or is this just how it's going to be? It's worth noting I've already replaced the motherboard with another DX79SR, and the same exact issue is occurring.

Intel DG43GT Bios Update Fail

Ok, so this is my first post, and it's about a discontinued motherboard. So quick and to the point, after the update failed i tried every recovery method i could find, none of them worked, just before giving up i noticed that the motherboard has SPI which is great. The only problem is that i need a BIOS dump file from a working DG43GT because i am not able to extract the binary image from the .bio file.

Is anyone willing or able to help me with this?

Intel DX79SI issues 780/Titan

Hi,

As you know all other major MB brands have already computability BIOS for them, when we can expect such for Intel X79 board ?

Because nothing can be done during boot with those cards, if you want to install them you need older card to view windows and install driver for the 2nd pci-e inserted card ...no BIOS and no Boot screens are showing.

Desktop Board DX79TO 2 USB 3.0 Rear ports keep giving problems even after installing the fix

$

Hi,

I recently build a Windows 8 Pro x64 PC Based on the Intel Desktop Board DX79TO, but even after installing the available fix for the 2 USB 3.0 ports at the rear of the PC i keep getting the same problems as before.

The ports work like they should, except that I keep getting the same problem at start-up everytime there is a device still attached to the port.

  • "System hangs on POST code 58 for one minute if any device is attached to USB 3.0 ports, and then continues the boot process."

Even though start-up from USB is placed UNDER those of the internal HDD's in the boot sequence.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or is someone familiar with the problem at all?

Would be nice if I shouldn't have to disconnect my 3TB Mybook 3.0 everytime I want to boot my pc...

Many Thanks

Sven

DZ77BH-55K doesnt post with two sata drives

Hi, I have a DZ77BH-55K motherboard, it works fine with 1 harddisk connected to the 6gb sata. However once I connect a second sata drive (be it to the 6gb or other sata), the bios doesnt finish its post any longer and messages something along the lines of: BIOS has detected unsuccessful attempt at finishing POST. The harddrive works fine on other computers. Even weirder, the same drive has actually worked before on this board, as a second drive for a while but I think that I didnt have my board's drivers installed yet at the time.

I'm honestly at the end of wits to solve this puzzle. Am I not supposed to have the provided drives installed?
